Kudos to the parents on this. Making a kid wear thrift clothing isn't shaming. It's teaching the kid some humility. If you say it's shaming, you're saying that people should be ashamed of having to shop at thrift stores or low end clothing stores.
@psps11806 жыл бұрын
Don't forget to drink your Cyanide agreed! First thing my mom did when she caught me picking on another girl was to call my brother and cousins and have them tease me. Then she said, you're upset that people that love you are picking on you. She may not be as lucky to have somebody that loves her. You don't have to be her friend if you don't get along but I expect you to apologize and at least be polite. Well. I thought about it, and I asked. The girl had been mean to me before I picked on her, but I learned that her mom and dad were divorcing and she had been sent to school in Texas and was actually very jealous of all the nice things I had. So I helped her make friends in our class, gave her a few things I wasn't using, and we got along fine. We're not ”best friends” or even that close but I learned that day that hurt people hurt others, and reacting badly just makes them hurt more.
@sinandcyanide75056 жыл бұрын

The thing is that is relative you know. You gotta know your child, in this case it was great and she learned the lesson. But the same treatment on other child could have gone really bad, a child with social anxiety could have focused way too much on what others say about them and instead of (just?) learning the lesson it could be worsening her/his anxiety and even traumatize the kid. Bullying is also a social activity, as someone who suffered from social anxiety before it seems highly unlikely you would require this kind of punishment on the first place. Girl learned being teased and mocked for wearing different clothes isn't nice, she literally had to step on the other girl's shoes. I thought it was a nice lesson and she obviously took it well.

@@declaracionespolemicas Yes, she took it well and that’s great it worked for her. The social anxiety was just an example, another example: the kid could have anger issues and be very angry and stressed with the situation resulting in not learning anything and just feel more anger and hate (now towards her/his parents)... p.s: I also suffered with social anxiety and would never bully someone, yet social anxiety doesn’t necessarily inhibits someone from bullying

It's like...yes, it DOES make them feel "less than." That is the point. This girl thought she was MORE THAN someone else, and "talking to her" (who is, indeed, a CHILD) is NOT as likely to reach the same impact. Children don't have the depth of awareness adults do, or the ability to understand, empathize, or rationalize things they don't understand, and SOME kids bully because they don't actually KNOW what it's like to feel "less than," and would think twice if they actually, truly KNEW how horrible their words make others feel. We don't know EXACTLY what was said, but I'd bet in the 2 days she had to wear them, she eventually heard things that were very similar to the things she was saying. A lot of bullies end up eating their own words later in life, but to so quickly be forced to have them cast unto you...no wonder she's now friends with the girl. And she's at a young enough age where that would have been enough to make her rethink her attitude. Hopefully everyone who watches this story has ignored the "doctor's" warning LOL.

I just want to know if she wasn't the girls stepmother would she of made her do this? There is usually a lack of sympathy towards children from previous marriages. #stepmother
@monsteratesso7 жыл бұрын
People will always have something to say about the way you raise your kids, I think this was the absolute BEST way to punish their child for what she did to that girl. The parents could've done what most people do and whoop her ass with a belt, but they chose the nonviolent way and these parents ARE STILL BEING TOLD THEYRE WRONG!

If she’s a fashionista she would know everyone has their own style, and could’ve help the girl with her style 😐
@justagirpup3 жыл бұрын
Some kids dont get a "style" bc they cant afford it. Hand me downs walmart and goodwill did not have cute or even decent stuff when i was a kid. I never got to wear clothes i wanted. Maybe that was this girls case idk

Worked for me. I was a little jerk until I went to HS and the other kids tore me apart. After that, I became the nicest kid in the school. You really don't know how it feels until it happens to you.

Once upon a time i wad bullied by two people. I had moved to a different place and went to this school, but when i got there i was bullied by these two girls. There was a girl in that class and she is now my best-friend but anyways, I hated school and wanted to go back to my old school badly. A week later the girl came back from her trip, so i play this game called MSP. So in weird off but the girl was a lot like me so we became really good friends. And then the rest of the year was a little easier. So next year one of the bullies was in my class and I was mad. We eventually became friends and now I have two besties. She told me that the main one made her do everything and that she didn’t mean to hurt my feelings, my mom had no idea btw. Anyways after I became besties with them I started to like school. And now, I’m glad that I moved to that school. The end.

Same I would bully kids to the point they felt like crap all day. So they could relate to the outside world, early on.

Hey it’s not cruel if you think about it. Like it’s not permanent. And why can’t anyone discipline their children without some people thinking that they are abusing them? How our they gonna learn from the mistakes they make??? I really give props to the parents in this video. It honestly was an amazing idea!

My cousin did this to her 14 year old daughter when she told her to stop picking her up from school in "ghetto" clothes (basketball shorts, a t-shirt, and flip flops). She didn't buy her thriftstore clothes though, she made her wear her oldest clothing items she had. Needless to say, she learned her lesson and stopped being a disrespectful brat😅
