If they were neglecting their children, that would be a problem. But until we decriminalize polygamy, they will continue to operate outside of the legal system and they will make it hard for CPS to come look in on their children. I had some friends who grew up in polygamous families and they eventually broke away and said it's a depressing life. The women, although they say they're happy, are not. The marriages are not happy or healthy. Jealousy is a major issue, as is the lack of one-on-one attention and love for all the children. Most of the kids are raised by older siblings, who sometimes grow resentful because they didn't have much of a childhood.

All The cases you're referring to in the Bible only involved the JEWISH Culture (or Middle Eastern), wherein Polygamy is accepted. The book mostly focuses on the Jews, some of it was even written by them. Anyway, Polygamy was never Condemned by the Bible, neither was it Encouraged in it. For a time God did permit a man to have more than 1 wife in Genesis 4:19 says La'mech( Adam and Eves son) took 2 wives. But God did not originate that practice because he gave Adam only 1 wife, Eve. It is so weird when asked what was the hardest thing the wife responded that it was making sure the kids were fed fairly. She said we can't have mothers giving their children food any time they want. I can't imagine being a grown woman and not being able to give my child food. I would think if a child asks for food no matter who's child it is, they should eat unless it was near mealtime.
