I found him the most obnoxious and womanizing character back then. To see his positive change is so great. I feel proud of someone I've never met and wish him all the best.

Just ended a 6 year long relationship with a man who cannot overcome his addiction. I cried, I tried and tried again. Everything was always my fault. He lost 4 jobs in one year while i took on a management position to keep us afloat. We got into an argument recently and I told him off. He got upset because of words but never took a clear look at his actions that lead up to it all. I still fry to this evening because I love and miss him so much. But it’s time for me to love myself. I don’t want to be like past family members, I don’t want to stay with toxic people just because. I want to be the most successful version of myself. I love me.

In the 1st season of the original Jersey Shore, I could tell right off the bat that he was extremely arrogant, self-centered, cocky, selfish, rude, & a womanizer for sure…. With that said, it’s pretty obvious ^ that he was my ‘least favorite’ throughout all the seasons of the show…… BUT now, he is a completely different man & my absolute FAVORITE by a long shot! He has put the hard work in by doing a complete 180 & totally transforming his life + himself. Mike is now sooo humble, smart, caring, likable, intuitive, funny, loving, & just an all around amazing husband/father. To the people on the outside looking in that can’t understand: Addiction is NOT a walk in the park & it does not discriminate. It effects all kinds of humans. It’s one of the biggest struggles ANYONE in the world could possibly go through! Plus it’s not just like ‘BOOM’ you get clean & that’s the end of it. Getting sober & going into recovery is probably one of the scariest + hardest things an addict will EVER have to do for themselves. Not just because of the addiction itself but also because when you decide to get clean, you are ultimately in recovery FOR LIFE! & Anyone who’s anyone knows that recovery is anything but linear & everyones process is different. As long as whatever you’re personally doing is working for you, that’s all that matters. I’m so proud of you, Mike! Your family, friends, & most importantly your babies get to be loved by the BEST version of you. A sober, healthy, & present Human/Dad! P.S: I’m speaking from experience (both my parents are addicts) when I say that your wife & children will love, value, & appreciate you for it more than you could EVER imagine or comprehend!❤️🙏🏼💪🏼🫶🏼

Amen thank you Jesus I grew up watching these guys and I myself had an overdose and I almost died about 3 times that I know of 2 times out of that Jesus light encompassed me and He said these are the last days and I love you everything happens for a reason all the suffering we go through makes us stronger, makes us who we are and it helps us appreciate whats to come. God bless you all. If youre ever scared call on Jesus. Those words my mother spoke to me saved my life because I called on Jesus and that's when He encompassed me with that light.

Find a group of people that don’t drink. 🙂
@hannahb7038 Жыл бұрын
And also, in all honesty, if your addiction to alcohol is bad enough, rehab would probably be necessary to help you quit. Not all drinkers can/should quit cold turkey. If you're one of them, see about nearby rehabs.
@DelusionaGrandeur Жыл бұрын
Take it a step at a time, I'm struggling myself. Some people can't handle jumping straight into cold turkey, and that's okay. Try going a week without and then increase from there...to me, going all week without and then earning yourself a few drinks on the weekend truly feels better than constantly drinking. It feels like a success, not like a Band-aid over your pain. And don't listen to that old "only alcoholics plan out when they will drink" crap...people trying to be responsible with their drinking also plan it out. Also, as the person above mentioned, there's no shame in seeking professional help, whether it be a therapist or rehab.
