The Kerry Stokes "negative" story was a non story. He sought for and was granted by the government an exemption from quarantining in a hotel. The hydroxychloroquine story was a false / misleading story. The trial had serious flaws with it. The disinfectant story was a straight out lie. Trump never suggested nor even implied that people should start injecting themselves with disinfectant. A show purporting to call out bad media practices peddling in such unethical behaviour itself - and taxpayer funded - is scandalous.

I know 3 people who received hydroxychloroquine as well as antibiotics and recovered quickly from even being on oxygen support. One was 94. You can't convince me it does not work and if I get COVID19 I will insist my Dr. give me this treatment.

It's impossible to prove a negative without doing double blind studies with a large sample of participants. You can't say those early patients would have gotten sicker without the therapy. The patients we are losing are the old ones and those with compromised immunity. If it can't help those patients then it's worthless because those are the ones dying.

Because it works for some people. The researchers testing hcq overdosed it, causing other doctors who noticed this in the report asking questions as it has to be used in the right dosage. No explanation was given and most MSM didn’t cover it. RT Media thankfully gives doctors and professors room to communicate these important matters. A Dutch patient whose condition kept deteriorating, nothing worked, was given a combination of hcq and got better within four days. Could be a coincidence and statistically insignificant, though. Too bad no proper study was done.

I have used Plaquenil for years for RA with no side effects. It can cause issues wirh your eyes but its very unusual. It is however an immunosuppressant which my doctor has advised to stop taking with another med i use for RA

From what i understand, doctors have said that Hydroxychloroquine needs to be administered during the early stages of covid19 for best results. The patients at the VA were given the drug when they were already at a critical stage. No surprise that the results were disappointing. That doesn't mean hyroxychloroquine is ineffective against covid19 as there are many testimonies of people who recovered from covid19 after given hyroxychloroquine.

Mostly wrong. It has been avidly promotted by a french internationaly renowned expert, unfortunately on the basis of a truncated study. For this reason, several european countries (Sweden in particular, I believe) have adopted it as a frontline treatment, with very disappointing results...It has been forsaken since, and almost exclusively used in African countries (where it is already massively used as an anti-palludean)
