The joy of privatisation. It's ridiculous how expensive toll are in Australia. The government is supposed to work for the people, not private enterprise.

When you enter a toll road you do so on the premise that you will get from A to B in a quicker and more efficient way. Often, once you enter the toll road you get stuck in a car park with little to no way of exiting. Entering a Toll Road is purchasing a service, if that service does not guarantee you to get from point A to point B within a specified time, irrespective of what the delay was, then then the Toll Company should be made to refund the customer as the service provided was not as what was promoted. No different to receiving a refund for a defective product or service you purchase in a retail environment. By enforcing Point A to B time guarantees will certainly make the Toll companies sit up and improve their game.

Why are tolls increasing at 4% per annum??? Shouldnt they be droping as time goes on? Considering they are there to pay off construction costs +profits??

I refuse to take toll roads anymore. These days I plan ahead and leave the 10 or 15 mins earlier in order to take normal roads. I've yet to see a time saving of more than 20 mins and cannot justify $10-15 to save such a short amount of time.

It is about time for this to happen. The tolls on Australian roads are over the top. Why should we pay tolls to drive on Australian roads? It's time to get rid of these dodgy toll companies. Time to take our country back Australia.

I thought we had to pay tolls to pay for the road being built, however when does that stop, when is the road paid for? Where I live the local toll road has had tolls for 30 years, surely it’s paid for by now.

Toll roads turn ordinary Australians into criminals. It's absurd. I spend $1000+ a month on tolls is Brisbane. The interface is deliberately difficult and the costs outrageous.

How are the fines, admin fees, reminder notice fees, etc all calculated? They shouldn't be adding margin or deterrent value to these, so they should be minimal. It shouldn't cost them $25 to send a reminder notice.
