What do you know now that you wish you knew earlier in life? For the ABC’s Your Mental Health week, some familiar faces have written a letter to their younger self about some of the mental health challenges they faced growing up.
Designed to enlighten, empower and inspire their ‘younger self’ by passing on some advice from their older, and sometimes wiser, point of view.
From 5-11 July, in partnership with Lifeline and Kids Helpline, ABC will shine a light on mental health and wellbeing to help those struggling with the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, bushfires and drought.

Thank you Kylie for sharing this. I can imagine that it was not easy to tell your story to the public many of whom will judge you even when they have no right to do so. I am not gay but my problem is a controlling mom. It almost drove to suicide but with the helpnof my brother i managed to slowly learn how to handle it.
