Hi Missy, just saw this, didn't know you personal life. If any concelation, my ex wife and I are going to your Melb gig in May together. We divorced in horrible, not nice circumstance 25 years ago. We had two young boys, that are now smart young men. Yet, in time we have grown close again, mainly over live Aussie music. We won't be romantic partners again, but have become friends again and both still love our children. Even if they don't like our taste in music. This will be my 7th gig of yours, and looking forward to it.

This show is a little gem - maybe stretch it out to 45 minutes? an hour? Zan Rowe is a genuine goddess of intelligence and empathy

One of my favorite humans on earth. It started off being one of my favorite musicians on earth. I actually wish they would have played the song “waiting for my real life to begin”, by Colin Hay. I don’t know why that didn’t happen. Because it’s a fantastic song.

Our story is the richness and tapestry of our experience. It's wonderful and glorious sometimes so high we fly and sometimes messy and raw. But our stories define us. Your story is yours. It's not a failure it's a glorious celebration of the human condition. I am married 26 years this year and my husband stayed with me through loss of babies. my spinal cord injury, leaving me incomplete paraplegic, learning to walk again with my Cbrace, we have two outstanding children. Celebrate you, your amazing talent and the road you've traveled because as you said it's your story, it may have changed from the one you originally wrote for yourself but it's still yours. And its glorious its up down messy perfect and perplexing all at once but it's yours. I love your music Missy it inspires me and I love to play your songs on pain and sing to them. I love to sing your story. Gerry. Northern Rivers.

Just sharing perhaps another way of looking at marriage here. My wife and I got married 11 years ago, prior to meeting her I had been in a couple of relationships as a young adult and one was serious enough that we were discussing marriage, of course all failed. From then I decided I wasn't going to marry a romantic partner but instead I was going to find my best friend to be my life partner. My wife and I, we still talk about why we got married till this day, we don't have a lot of expectations of one another, life has been fun without the illusion of romance believe it or not

No way it's a failing, we have to understand and acknowledge life is not always in linear fashion and predictable, and it is ok.
