Indeed, The Day of Judgement is the day of justice as well as mercy. We shouldn't fret about in this world if justice is not delivered before death or in our lifetime or even after.......

Alhamdulillah, being our best ... in my opinion, inner is a greater challenge than outer/external challenge ... which is beyond my control ...

absolute joy listening to these, i would want to request that the quality of the audio be improved! maybe if an actual recording rather than a zoom recording could be used?

Self-realization and self-actualization are underappreciated sides of the stimulus of Ramadan. To say that there are things to understand and experience that are not expressed in the primary sources does not question the completeness of the fundamental sources of religion.

I still don't understand what it means to reflect with the heart instead of mind. Is sounds like you mean to say you reflect on your emotions (heart), using your intellect (mind). Isn't that still just being mind focused instead of heart?

I'm also struggling with this. I think our ibadah heals our hearts, and as this healing evolves over time, our thoughts also evolve - our existential state motivates our thoughts eg anxiety generates paranoid thoughts. So as our hearts heal, out thoughts align. The thought-led therapy is a peculiarity of western psychology.

I read the transcript from 21:00 onwards and this is a course of sorts so I'll be awaiting the next video on Sunday. The aim is to use Ramadan as a time of self reflection perhaps through journaling on 'what is keeping you from surrender to Allah completely' as well as reading the Quran with Tadubur 25:18 'reflection contemplation and what that means and how it impacts us how does it impact our hearts'. I think that is core of the discussion May Allah forgive me for any mistake.

The emotions are not the heart. It takes practice to access the heart and ignore the noise. Try sitting down quietly, focusing on a single point and let any thoughts or emotions pass with neither resistance nor engagement. Try to listen to the heart by setting that intent and do some zikr. Repeat that daily for 10 mins and you'll start to feel it insha'Allah
