Alhamdulillah for the subtleties of Iman in Islamic teachings, all anchored in divine revelation and not guesses and surmises.. the fact that a Muslim can attain knowledge about the divine in accurate ways from authentically divine sources is such a blessing, when it takes some of the greatest minds to produce great philosophers who still are like the blind leading the blind, compared to the accuracy and relevance of what a Muslim can access in terms of benefitical knowledge about the Divine Himself. Philosophy, if divorced from revelation, is so inf3rior a source of info about the nature and purpose of our existence. So is art, be it poetry or music. Western civilization post-renaissance has tried to distance itself from the divine while suggesting these lower forms of self-realization as alternatives to authentic revelation.
