The combination of the narrator, the natural leg spinning talent and the bird sounds give me such a sense of relaxation.

Yes Tony Lewis had a great relaxing BBC TV test cricket voice. It was so relaxing when it used to be on BBC with no commercials, sometimes they wouldn't say anything for a few minutes just crowd chatter could be heard.

Well, putting bloody patriotism aside, both were great. Abdul in some ways paved the way for Shane, but Shane was at least as magical, having all in all even more variation (mystery ;))and arguably being able to produce more turn. Where Abdul was superior in, was the googly department. And his action was just so beautiful. Maybe the most beautiful one of any wristspinner. I love Abdul´s bowling a lot. He was instrumental in keeping this craft alive on a sublime level.

Yes, i said that Abdul Quadir was also a pave maker for Warne and highly influential. Fantastic bowler. I loved his craft. Legspinning would definitely not be, what it is, without him. Very plausible that young Warne went to the best man available. I would've done that too.

Bowling is not a part of cricket any more. When they reduced the size of grounds to increase sixes, cricket lost its defensive edge. Bowlers like AQ were astute and methodical like elite baseball pitchers. Unfortunately it’s not the case for today’s bowlers. That’s why the game is losing its edge.

Rashid Khan is literally one of if not the best leg spinner in the world still making impact
@shoumikdas46747 ай бұрын
Good Bowling line up in any World Cup is still the X-factor for the big teams. You cannot just compare franchise tournaments with International Cricket. Bowlers like Strac, Bumrah, Rashid Khan are still the nemesis for many batsman. However, Sports is Also about entertainment, you cannot watch a game continuously if scoring rate is below 5 runs per over. It becomes way too boring. Thats why reducing ground size is fine but obviously only to a certain extent.
