Sometimes I wish Muslims like andalusi had a bigger online presence. This man can destroy zionism in one hand and liberalism in the other.
@ha.alamin
@ha.alamin 5 ай бұрын
I always wish that. He's really one of the most underrated daa'ees on the scene. He needs to work on smoothening his speech, because it really masks (due to people's bias) how much credibility and solid intellectual offences/defences he actually has. But maybe it's better for his debate opponents to underestimate him. May Allah make this endeavour a massive success and a source for the transformation of the ummah and its revival, and reward him immensely for it.

@@Farhadmoh nah, that's not it. I've watched a lot of his content, including long-form stuff, and that's just how he is, even without interruptions. He's definitely knowledgeable, and a great debater, but I think that's the one thing holding him back.

This is a positive development. Alhamdulillah. It’s Juz that naming n shaming has its uses too. For eg, there’s a movement to call out left-leaning ‘scholars’ aligning with the left on the lgbt issue. One may argue about the way it was done; the fact remains had it not been done, we’ll still be with the ‘we stand with the homosexuals’ and ‘homosexuality is haram… but we support the right to gay marriage’ mentality of many celebrity scholars of two years ago. Wallahualam.

Problem with that idea, however, is that we are instructed to consult the scholars. When you include non-scholars from what you call "other denominations", you're starting off with a fundamentally flawed concept. Allah said to ask "ahladh-dhikr (أهل الذكر) if you dont know. He didnt say, ask ahladh-dhikr and some others that oppose them. There will not be legitimacy, except for maybe those that dont know any better, because if you consider the ashaa'irah and sufis to have "scholars", and that they are from ahlus-sunnah, the people will never take it seriously. Excuse what may seem to naysaying, but if you think the concept is good, then take the VERY concept to the actual ulamaa' to see how it could work while telling them this idea of having people from deviant hizbs (lets just call it what it is) have this issuing of fataawaa.

The reality is people who identify as Muslim belong to different groups and sects that don't mix and don't like each other - there is no one islam, there are different versions of Islam. Obviously every Muslim thinks the Islam, sect or group they follow is right and the others are wrong - but this gets us nowhere. The way forward is for everyone to practice their faith however they want, mutual tolerance and coexistence. The important thing is to ensure there is no breach of peace in societies. This can be achieved through enforcing proper laws against incitement and hate speech. It is also important to remember that although religon is not something that people unite on, there is always citizenship and nationality which is a demonstrably stronger unifiying factor than religion.
@Xenor999
@Xenor999 5 ай бұрын
As if people can unite upon what it means to be a particular nationality or citizen of a particular country.also most muslims follow the same basic rulings on Islam.they aren't divided like you make them out to be.most muslims would not go around saying they are a particular sect or creed .they will just call themselves muslims and will really not see themselves as different from other muslims unless you talk about major differences like shia or Sunnis.most muslims are more divided by ethnicity and nationality than by religious differences.
@Xenor999
@Xenor999 5 ай бұрын
For your knowledge nationality is a concept of the 19th century and actually since the advent of the stronger unifying force there have been more wars and violence than the past when there were kingdoms or religion which United people for hundreds and hundreds of years like the Roman Empire , islamic Caliphate etc etc and they didn't cause the barbaric violence caused since the invention of nationalism like ww1 ww2 etc etc.when artificial borders cause so much conflict one has to wonder does it really unite people in a good way and do people really feel United by artificial borders better or a by a beleive system which in its basic form is obeyed by all people.
@CG-zi5ku

@@Xenor999 Although far from perfect, the current nationstate-based world order where it is forbidden and illegal (by unaminous agreement of all the nation states) for one nation to conquer another nation's territory is much better than the situation prior where brutal and violent wars of conquest were common place. Religion is ok for uniting people at a local community and group level but at a wider national and global level it acts more of a disuniting force amongst people because you have different groups and sects that form around different interpretations of any given religion and these different groups and sects don't like and avoid each other. In countries like the UK you have successful functional communities based on nationalility such as bangladeshi, Indian, somali, Pakstani - these national identities serve great benefit in uniting large groups of people that share a common ethnicity, heritage, culture and language.

Too much debate too much arguing. Which Allah hates on matters which has been made clear. US UK Canada these are non muslim countries..if you face restrictions to openly practice your religion get out from those countries and don't contribute in the development of those countries. Period. And those who converts, Migrate to a Muslim country and work hard there to develop strong Muslim nations. Period.

He should not be on TV? Just slightly ott! He might not have the 'entertaining' bravado of some of the other da'ees, but he definitely knows what he's talking about, and you actually learn something. Noam Chomsky is pretty monotone, but because he really knows what he's talking about, he gets recognition. Why not Br. Abdullah? Thanks for criticising your own brother in Islam. Douglas Murray would approve👍🏿
