a lot of ppl saying it was bad defense, but the actual prob was that he was throwing that uppercut too early, on the center line, and didn’t set it up. Tank throws that exact same uppercut but with his hands completely down, diff is that tank goes off the center line and makes opp miss b4 throwing it. Also makes sure opp is alr broken down. This was the real prob

I think being aware of counters goes hand in hand with defensive responsibility. This kid was too trigger happy and throwing counter backhand uppercuts, which is a very dangerous punch to throw without getting countered itself because of the time and distance it has to travel.

Abdullah was too predictable with his punches and not sharp on defense. He should not have traded with this opponent. And he should have sized his opponent up better.
@snowman188612 күн бұрын
His punches definitely aren't predictable. If that was the case, he'd be a swarmer/ volume puncher type. His main problem is the fact that he drops his opposite hand a lot when he punches and he doesn't exit the pocket after some sequences where he should.

He didnt trade he got countered from not blocking correctly
@peaceseeker992712 күн бұрын
@@BossofBosses111 Nope, Abdullah's over confidence put him into position where he was vulnerable defensively and his opponent was on the inside. He then traded with him. He wrongly put himself into that position before he understood what his opponent was capable of, and instead of reacting defensively and getting out of there using foot and head movement, and protecting his chin. He threw a predictable punch instead that left him open. Then after he was hurt he traded with his opponent on the inside with the intent of knocking him out, while he himself was still buzzed, but he was repeating the same predictable punching patterns. Abdullah could have been knocked out but he survived. He did not mentally adapt when he found that he could be hurt by his opponent. But it should have never happened in the first place given that he is faster and has better movement.
