In the UK we started an official petition on the UK Gov website to have parliament condemn the death sentence of Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani. To make people aware of it we staged demonstrations throughout the UK and handed out leaflets asking members of the public to sign the petition, we made youtube videos to make people aware so they would sign and do the same. Faith is accepting something to be true, even though you don't have any evidence to actually prove it is true. If I were to tell you "I have a pink lamborghini/ferrari hybrid in a secret garage under my house" you'd probably want proof of that (i.e. me actually showing you the thing). But if you or me had no way of meeting up so I cannot properly show you, then you'd need to have faith that I wasn't lying to you and making it up, in order to accept that statement as true. When it comes to Reason vs. Faith, they are two different things. Reason is just a process of determining whether you'd accept something to be true on pure faith, or demand some actual proof before accepting it as true. The more extraordinary the claim, the more extraordinary evidence it would require (therefore more likely someone would demand it). In my pink car case, it's more on the extraordinary side (reasoning: not many people own secret garages + pink hypercars + mixes between two brands + are that rich) and demand proof, rather than taking it on Faith and accepting it as truth. But if I were to say something less extraordinary, like "I drank water yesterday" - nothing extraordinary about that (reasoning: people drink water every day + it's a very common occurrence + we need it to actually live), so people would have no problem taking it on Faith and believing the statement to be true without demanding any actual evidence of that happening. Now if I said "There's a God up there in the heavens, that watches over all of us, all the time, our every little action, and when we die, he will judge us and send us to either hell to burn for eternity, or heaven where it's all nice"... would you consider that an extraordinary claim and want some actual proof, or a reasonable one that you can just accept to be true purely on faith? And if you showed the Reasoning Process that leads to just accepting it on Faith to be true without any evidence... some people would see that process as valid, while others (Atheists mostly) wouldn't and would deem that process ridiculous. Ironically, since atheists see that as an extraordinary claim and demand evidence, the theists see THEIR reasoning process for labeling it as extraordinary invalid and flawed xD

Biblical faith, is faith based on evidence rather than its absence. All throughout the Bible believers are encouraged to continue to believe, despite current circumstances (such as an invading army laying seige to your city), on the basis of God having delivered his people in the past. Of course, to have the confidence that God is able to do what He has promised, requires that people think through the evidences for such belief. Thus reason and faith are inseparable. I often debate on the issue of evolution and find an awful lot faith is being used, despite claims about the scientific evidence. Scientific evidence does not speak on its own, it requires interpretation. Both evolutionists and creationists explain the evidence according to their starting biases. Actually to assert that there is no God is a faith statement, not one of science. In fact, I would argue it requires more faith. A believer would only have to have a minimum of one line of evidence where an atheist would have do demonstrate that there are actually none at all.

One day Jesus was preaching in a home where the antagonist religious leaders were also present. Jesus challenged them, "which is easier to say (to the paralyzed man before them) your sins are forgiven or get up and walk?". Obviously saying the man's sins were forgiven (a very important matter in its own way) was easier as no one there could know (on evidence) if the man's sins were actually forgiven or not. Jesus then proceeded to heal the man who walked out of the house. Jesus did this to demonstrate that he had power to heal physically and spiritually. God does not ask us to believe without evidence but with evidence.

Ustads and imams all around the world are using own versions. They use quran translated in Local languages but they seldom translate full book. They only translate cherry picked verses. Well most abduls are using polished versions in local languages. I think someone should research the locally translated versions of quran

If the "religious book" would be "updated" it would not, by definition, be a book from an all-knowing God. For example, the Bible is not a book from man to man about God but is (from internal evidence) a library of books from God (indirectly) about man. It claims to be the Word of God. If it was telling untruths then the Bible is false. As it is I do not believe that to be the case. e.g. I do not believe Adam and Eve were mythical persons.

He had to paint the picture that each solar system were intended to be described in details to argue that we were suppose to be told that there exist more moons for MH to be right. Anyways, this particular verse obviously wasn't trying to describe the design of the solar systems but to identify creations of Allah. For example, The Qur'an says that the skies are 7. Stratified. And although it explicitly state whenever it mentions moon and one sun to be part of the lowest sky, sometimes it just mentions that "Allah created skies and the sun and the moon" without waiting to explain whether the sun and moon belonged to the 7 heavens together. And this is because that wasn't the intent of such a verse. They were just mentioning Allah's creations without describing their arrangements and thus doesn't mention some parts. The Qur'an mentions the lowest sky sometimes, mention the moon and sun and skip the stars, are we to say that Muhammad didn't know the stars are in the sky 🤔

The Verse therefore states that Allah made three different things, The stars, the sun and a moon. However, the sun is also a star. Were it not for scientific knowledge, would muslims ever have independently interpreted those verses to carry the scientific content and meaning as they are doing now? It always felt natural for me to do so even before I started practicing Islam. I have seen peope who claim to be disbelievers be in a state of hardship that they themselves called out.. Asking.. God are you there? Help me.. If there were to be natural disasters everywhere and our technology and resouces were of no use, many who claim God is not there would call out anyways.
