Facebook is only one more channel to promote the established lies and misguidance. I think there are limits to the "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" concept. Wood attacks and denigrates Muslim apologists, but is no less contemptuous of atheist writers.

@james sc I understand what you're saying, but Wood is after all a Christian apologist who despises atheism as much as he does Islam. I'm not concerned that he has "insulted a writer", but I am that he is vigorously pushing a religious viewpoint that is at its core just as irrational, and just as oppressive to certain members of society, as Islam. Not all ex-Muslims are atheists, or course, but I believe Mr. Sameer is, and the Apostate Prophet (who also seems to be allied with Wood) is for sure. My only point is that it is wise to know who you're getting into bed with, as it were. And the idea that one is "safe and secure" as an atheist living in America is a relative notion. There has always been a crusade by those on the Christian right to break down the wall between church and state in this country, which has ramped-up these past four years under the blessings of the Trump administration, who have now, among other examples, gotten a right-wing Christian majority on the Supreme Court. I don't think ex-Muslims are any less safe in general than atheists in America, but that doesn't mean that both aren't under constant attack by the Christian right.
