That’s great you are dedicating 2024 to yourself! I said that for myself for 2023 but it hasn’t quite turned out that way yet! I just started a throw for myself, otherwise this year I have made things for sale, a few gifts, or I made things for work…I work very part-time at a yarn store. So I’m dedicating the rest of this year and 2024 to making more knitting and crochet projects for me! Best Wishes to you!

I have a pickle jar of Tangled Poet yarn. So far it's just fun to look at. I picked it up at the Kawartha Fibre Fest. But I have ordered from Aberdeen online too. Obviously I need to try a mystery bag!

I love Aberdeen Wool! FYI, you can buy bags of the micro skeins (the same as the pickle jar) for less than the cost of a pickle jar and you get more micro skeins. Of course, if you are wanting the pattern the pickle jar is the way to go. I have ordered several bags of the micro skeins and I love them! I'm from Jonesborough Tennessee.

I love Aberdeen's Wool Company. I ordered Tangled Poets Pickle jar minis and the advent calendar, my first advent. I'm super excited about it. For some strange reason I purchase a lot of yarn from dyers in Canada, it seems. I skipped purchasing the actual pickle jar and went right for the refills. I know I will be ordering more minis, for sure and I might even make their advent a yearly thing too. It's the nicest advent I've seen around so far I'm so glad you gave yourself a gift, Diane. We should absolutely gift ourselves from time to time. I am actually planning on making a cardigan with the Tangled Poets minis and I'm even considering not weaving in ends, but leaving them knotted at the change and cutting them all to a uniform length and making it a feature. That's the picture in my head, but when I see the project in front of me, I may change my mind. I'm banking on the fact that they are short minis, so it should be a pretty uniform look to leave them unwoven and a duster cardigan on me requires a lot of yarn to cover the width and length requirements, It's actually a hard decision to not weave in ends as much as I dislike it, as we all do, I'm afraid it will look too unfinished and I'll dislike the look. I'd rather weave them in than regret it and have to weave in short ends after the fact.My brain is really a mess on this one. The Berroco Sesame is super pretty. The Muir Woods is super pretty too. I love roving. Why are all the pretty yarns being discontinued? Of the 'budget' yarns, I think Premier is the best. It's the one yarn I would love to keep solidly in stock for all my acrylic charity crochet needs. Mary Maxium also has some nice acrylic yarns too. I tend to only use acrylic for charity work, as I struggle to wear them personally. I'm always hot and they do not breathe and I just get so uncomfortable. For myself, I can only use acrylics on items I can easily remove from my body in public. Your 25-dollar mystery bag was quite nice. Thanks for sharing!💜

Did you order the knitting or crochet advent, Jude? If you are knitting we should have a mini knit a long with the same patterns in January! Party of two! I really wanted the glass jar ( and needles) so I thought I would get the Pickle Jar then the refills in the future. After comparing advent calendars, the minis in the Aberdeen ones are larger! Most advents have 20 gram minis, but the Tangled Poets are 30 grams! I am very excited about the calendar and the Pickle Jar. Yes, that is alot of weaving in ends ( which I am not a fan of). The beauty of the pickle jar cowl is that it is knit in the round, so all the ends are inside the tube, no weaving! I am just sitting on my hands right now, trying not to order more! Hubs did buy me the Pickle Jar and when I went online to order it there was a 10% Tangled VIP discount attached to it. I assume because I bought the advent, however I could not find any details about the discount on their site.
