Aberdeen is such a tidy city. Loved the walk, looking at all the historic buildings and churches, there are so many of them. Is religion a big part of Scottish life? I found the Marischal College such an imposing building, beautiful. Hope it wasn't too cold on the day, it certainly was slippery on the bridge. Wish you safe and Happy Christmas. Based on Statista, in Scotland in 2018, approximately 36 percent of people claimed that they were a Christian denomination, with the majority of those belonging to the Church of Scotland. A lot of the old churches or kirks as we call them in the city center have been turned into pubs or casinos. Aberdeen is sometimes refereed to as the city of spires due to the many old kirks we have within the city center.

Aberdeen has pretty low Church attendance, a lot of the buildings have been converted, of those that remain, often very small congregations. The city isn't quite as splendid as presented here, parts of the centre are a bit neglected, even derelict. On the other hand there are many gorgeous "nooks and crannies" which videos like this don't have time to go into.

When you stopped at Holburn Street that hurt. This is a tour around Union Street and if you want to film then do it at 10pm on a Friday or Saturday night. You'll be fine.

​@RelaxedRoamer Diversity isn't unique though, if you travel throughout Europe (and I'm sure you do) you'll know that its far more common than it isn't. From big cities in the UK to small towns in the alps. Unfortunately, it makes these places feel the same. It actually destroys everything unique about the towns and cities. The only exception is the architecture. Which, will either be burnt down "accidentally" or more likely obscured by grotesque modern architecture anyway.

Thanks for your comment. Moving to a new area is never easy. The city is home to around 215,000 people and is Scotland’s 3rd largest city behind only Edinburgh and Glasgow. The city has an extremely welcoming feel. The city is also particularly diverse. It is one of the most expensive places to live in Scotland. Living in Aberdeen makes getting around easy. It is not a big city and i really love it. Weather is not bad (not as cold as Canada) and tap water quality is good (you can safely drink tap water). The city has many positive points and also negative points. I suggest that you do more research before moving. Good luck!
