Thank you! This book was a gift my grandfather gave me when I was 12 and I love it!

Loved the movie when I was a kid. Listening to this is like taking a ride down memory lane. The reader did a great job. Thanks.

Great upload, thanks. Wonderful narration, A very beautiful novel ,of true altruism between the little botanist and Elliot's family especially ,the pure love he felt for Mary. I first read this amazing book as a young child, thanks to the late Melissa and to novelist William Kotzwinkle for this gem.

I love this story! Its also lovely how E.T. and Elliott get to spend a lot of precious extra weeks together in this novel, both sides of Halloween (unlike in the film where its barely one week in total), before the tragically inevitable dreaded shared terminal illness strikes. Whilst both E.T. and Elliott ultimately survive this, it is what forces their separation as E.T. can sadly never stay on Earth with Elliott long term. Besides hostile and fascist government forces, E.T. is susceptible to the effects of cosmic loneliness, Earth's gravity force and toxic atmosphere which are deadly when combined, and E.T.'s empathic bond with Elliott causes the latter to nearly die from all this too.

I liked this reading. Errors? yeah, but it made it feel like a friend was reading the story to me as I am tucked safely in bed. The reader also sounds like someone I knew in college who did college radio in the dead of night. At times he also made me think of Trey Anastasio, and that is always a good thing! Thanks for recording and posting!

Nice story of ET, in the movie there was not a character named lance and hearing him in the book was different but like why was lance not in the move?

The character of Mary is much more neurotic in the novel. I wonder if the screenplay for the film originally painted her that way or if it was the author’s choice.

Audiobooks for the Damned Lol, joking aside, you might want to consider editing out flubs like that. Adds a bit more professionalism. ;)

I really don't mind your mistakes. They make me smile. But I am quite disappointed you used profanity. I'm not a prude nor does that language usually bother me. It's just a shame because after I had listened to this story I was going to recommend my grandson listen it. Don't get me wrong I loved every minute of it. I cannot now though, give it to my grandson to listen to. You have made mistakes in your other books. Which were all amazing but not once did you use the f word. Thank you 😊.
