I remember hearing Suresh Wadkar ji singing this song for a program named Jammin'. And when he sang this song, he didn't sing like Sonu ji. And that's when I realised that the truest expression an artist can give is their own and not trying to be someone else. Even as I hear your rendition, it's not the same as Sonu ji's which I deeply love, but it's so honest that it moves me! Like I am stumped by how this song works nicely in Rahul Deshpande ji's aesthetic and still works like a charm!

Rahul am a big fan of yours and love the different renditions where you sing each song in your way without copying anybody and make them your own. This is such a beautiful song. Ajay-Atul have created the Taj Mahal of songs. You've used much stronger delivery than the delicate notes of Sonu Nigam, but that creates its own flavour. Nicely done. If you're interested in what I meant by the delicate tones, apart from listening to Sonu sing it himself, there's this guy Rohit Kataria who's done a beautiful breakdown explaining how to approach the notes. I think he does a good job of explaining it and then you start noticing it in Sonu's performance.
