Yes Lord Krishna is Jagannath... His brother Balram ( Balbhadra) and sister Subhadra ( wife of Arjuna) . They visit Rath ( Chariot) and visit his Masi bari ( Aunt Gundicha's place) and then on the 10th day they return back to the temple on Rath. It's a huge celebration across the world by all Krishna devotees. In most places Rath mela happens for 10 days. And it's expected that monsoon will definitely outbreak during Rath yatra.

It's a pride to actually pull the chariots. Even though it's crowded, everyone wishes and eventually does pull the chariots, the moment u touch those ropes u feel the power, at that time u don't feel to be mashed between the crowds, it's a different feeling while you feel that you're one of the devotees who is playing a role in pulling the majestic chariots.
