It took China 7 years, from 2007 to 2014, to reach 10 trillion from 3 trillion. Yes, china was growing at average 10-11 percent. But even if India grows at consistent 8%, we should be able to reach $10 trillion mark in 10 years from now. That would be 2032. So I don't think your prediction of reaching 10 trillion in "18-20 years" is true. In 18-20 years we should be looking at 20 trillion. Of course, all this depends on a stable Rupee. If Rupee falls to 100 to a Dollar then we would be around 6-7 trillion by 2032 in nominal terms. Had Rupee been stable at its 2007 value (37-38 rupees/Dollar), we would already have been a $6 trillion economy today.

Socialism never ever produced any economic growth. That's why china gave up socialism/communism and is today a cutthroat capitalist country even if they don't want you to know it. We need to close all of our DPSUs and fold them into the private sector. Especially in the defence sector, which has the potential for huge growth and capital expenditure with massive job-creation potential. We need millions of jobs every MONTH and that will never come with "startups" or small business. Next is to explode the agriculture sector to facilitate large farms with private sector input and guidance. Our planning has been utterly stupid and we are in fact staring at a massive internal security problem with the demographic disaster.

I will tell you what God (Sai Baba) said. Somewhere in late 1960 or early 1970s he said the Mahabaratha war is going on now where India which stands for the truth is Yudhistira. Russia with its might is Bhima and America with all its missiles is Arjuna. Note Baba said Russia in those days even though it was officially the Soviet Union then. Another thing is that many are predicting the demise of Russia after the Ukraine war. But going by the above statement of Baba, if Russia is Bhima, it will only go together with India and Arjuna as they walk up the Himalayas around the same time. He did not mention China. But an excerpt from Sai Baba's book is, “Baba referred to the Chinese who were pouring across the Himalayas valley into the plains of India and announced. “My birthday Festival (23/11/1962) will not be marred by any dispirited news; you will get positive and cheerful news. Sanathana Dharma will suffer no harm.” And true to this declaration the Chinese who were in full flush advance had started withdrawing from the midnight of 22nd beyond the mountain range for some as-yet undisclosed reasons! -p68.” But once Baba did say that if India, China, and Pakistan combine, it will be an invincible combination; Baba is God and will not say things as a theory. If he said it, it has to happen. I know Modi follows Baba and is probably working on this because he met Xi more times than he met any other country's leaders.

The guest seems like a reasonably guy (especially compared to the clearly anti China host) but I think he should go back further in history and understand why China wants territories like Diaoyu (senkaku), Taiwan etc... To China, those are places taken away from it over a couple centuries when it was weak. And I disagree China will not be a benign power. Compared to the west, China even when it was doing well traded peacefully with much of the world, especially Asia. Contrast that time to the devastation colonization brought by the west. China is perceived today as an aggressive country is simply because the west continuously pokes at it, tries to lord over it, instigates neighbors to contain China etc... As the guest rightly said, China still has a large reserve of cultural pride (and yes, he is right.. The current China govt is more or less similar to ancient Imperial dynasties of millenia ago) and feels no compulsion to follow the west or be a junior honorary member of the west (like Japan is). My final words would be for him to study a bit further back into the history of China. India, while great at the time, was by no means critical to the silk road... It was the Persians. Also, he needs to look east. Japan, Korea etc are all heavily influenced by China.

There is decline in world economy, n some of them r even collapsed, but we r still standing brave n growing by 4.5% every year, despite natural calamities, war, or pandemic, or may it inflation rate,due to right policies.

@@vijayapillay8033 Actually in comparison to other developing countries, we are doing badly. Ask why Bangladesh and Vietnam did ok in 2020 and 2021. It's why Bangladesh surpassed India in GDP growth and GDP per capita. India is not achieving the GDP growth it used to achieve during Manmohan.
@vijayapillay80332 жыл бұрын
@@stardust2045 bangladesh didn't surpass gdp growth, the gdp of one state of india is more than bangladesh, whereas the gdp per capita income bangladesh has surpassed by only 0.2%, which will not remain same always, n u should know the per capita income n economy of different states r different, u should have a look, which is doing better than most of other countries, n also their currency value is much low than india.

@@stardust2045 n u should also look at Manmohan times, there r lot of scams, illegal property lease etc, today our foreign reserves is 600 billion, after china, digitalisation, exports which touched 600 billion mark in fy 2021 which never happened in upa govt, n even capitalisation, n foreign policy n investment, which we achieved only under this government.
