We used to make Idichakka Toran'.,without garlic.. instead we use shallots,grated coconut, &dried red chillies.While seadoning(Kadu pottikkumbol)we use mustard,uzhunnuparippu,dried red chillies&curry leaves..😋😁From Thrissur (kodungallur)

I have tasted idichakka thoran prepared like this and was very tasty and instead of green chilies red chilies are also good . This is different from my mother’s recipe which includes the use of coconut and turmeric . Thank you

I have a similar one, but some rice turns black after cooking, so I gave it to one shop and asked them to do Kalai coating. But same problem. Kindly advise what to do

Nostalgia ❤️ you remind me so much like my mother. When I learn cooking at standard 8 ,fish curry .she explained to me like this. I even now follow the same instruction even at this age. Though I cook a lot something s like this stick to our soul. I love the way you teach cooking with stories . Love you 💕💕💕 my mum is from Kannur too. Both my husband and I bought a ripe jackfruit here in US and we cut it open and it was a total mess the sticky stuff was impossible to get off omg, we had no idea what to do so we never bought anymore since then.
