So lovely. I also would love to hear “Be Still My Soul” on the pipes.

So beautiful Tress. It was sung at my mother's funeral, and I have tears in my eyes now. Thank you for all you do for so many others.

Stunningly beautiful on the pipes! I just found a version to try to learn on the sax. But maybe I should switch to pipes. So lovely. Thank you!

Abide with Me is performed at British Commonwealth Remembrance Day ceremonies around the world, and it's sung by soloists and the audience together.

This brings back memories of playing this tune for the padre at his church services at a military camp I was training at, on Vancouver Island back in the 80's. I sounded very much like this with the same arrangement. Thank you!

Looking for a hymn for our cathedral wedding in honor or our moms who passed not long ago and this is so beautiful. Would this be appropriate before the ceremony starts once pare seated?

Very poor performance of this tune. Flicking and squeaking between notes, and extra notes stuffed in along the way, all spoil the melody and the music. The melody as composed by Monk has a raised 4th at the end of the second line, leading up to the 5th at that cadence. In this performance that note is wrongly played a semitone flat. Key of B flat instead of the original E flat does not help either. KZbin has a huge number of performance of this tune, mostly lazy junk, but some not too bad. If this instrument is incapable of playing the melody as it should be, with all the correct notes, and preferably at the original pitch, then don't try.
