I am SO excited that you guys reacted to this so quickly! I’ve _really_ enjoyed Radio Silence’s work so far (I loved Ready Or Not _and_ both Scream 5 & 6!) and I was _hella_ into the premise of Abigail from the moment I heard about it and the trailer just solidified my excitement. Frank only wanted Joey as a puppet, so he just bit her without giving her his blood. He should have remembered that Sammy took a long time to turn after just being bitten, but no one but Abigail knew that Sammy finally turned in response to a trigger. Frank turned right away because Lambert gave him his blood. I didn’t realize til my last watch that Joey was fine after Frank died, but Frank didn’t die after he killed his sire, Lambert. I guess the ‘halflings’ or whatever go back to normal if the sire dies, but the fully turned stay as they are. Like The Lost Boys.

considering the film didn't make back even half its budget during opening weekend and still fell short from the US and Canada, combined, I don't think we are getting a sequel or prequel unless a big director chooses to pick it up. which is a damn shame because this is such a good film. but it just took too long for word of mouth to travel.

Alicia Weir was great in this. Plus, I have to give it to Kevin Durand (Peter). I've seen him in a lot of movies over the years, but this was one of his funniest roles. Props to Kathryn Newton as well.

This is in the same universe as Redy Or not so makes sense it is the same in a way and of course the fact that it's done by the same directors as well. Malissa was reunited with them on thisone which is always fun. I enkjoyed this one and thought the girl was a good actress..she actually plays Metilda in the new musical Matilda movie..though I have not seen it yet. The actor of Frank is the actor of the Beast from Beauty and the Best the live action version and the actress of the hacker is the actress of Millie in Freaky haha. Glad you enjoyed this one as much as I did and the actor of Peter I know first from the show Dark angel but he hads been in a lot of things since then.

If there’s _one_ thing about Radio Silence’s “original” movies (so… _not_ the Scream films), they _will_ end with the heroine finally relaxing after the climax, outside of a gorgeous mansion, absolutely _covered_ in blood, chilling with an object known for oral fixations (A cigarette in Ready Or Not and a lollipop in Abigail.) LOL. Also, all of the actors involved said that they’d _never_ seen so much blood on set throughout their entire careers. So there _was_ a TON of fake blood involved! Hahaha. Oh… and a LOT of people have theorized that Ready Or Not and Abigail both take place in the same universe. Which _totally_ makes sense to me! (Radio Silence themselves _may_ have actually said, or even just inferred, this but I’m not totally sure about that and I’d hate to spread _any_ misinformation!)

My mom took my 13 yr old daughter to watch this movie at the movie theater and they loved it. I took my 6 yr old daughter to see it at the movie theater. We lovedddd it so much. I'm not a big vampire movie and show fan. I love the lost boys and now my second favorite is Abigail. This little girl deserves an oscar I think she did a greatttt job! The shoes that she wears are pointe shoes. From what I’ve seen when perfecting their craft in Ballet 🩰 it does a lot of work to their feet, ankles, and toes. I’ve never worn them personally, but they look painful. Black Swan also shows more with these shoes and the process of being a Ballet dancer. 😅

fun factttt, this story is based off an old classic horror movie called dracula’s daughter, & in the end when kristof lazar comes in he says “i go by many names.” he implies hes been around for centuries as does abigail. its implied that kristof is actually dracula. :))

I am the author of a vampire novel, "Silent Dawn: Chasing Sunrise", so I did a lot of research on vampires. It seems that Stephen Shields and Guy Busick did their homework as well. Garlic, according to lore, doesn't harm vampires but, the old vampires smelled like rotting flesh, and garlic was supposed to make them afraid because it smelled worse than they did. Crosses and Crucifixes, on their own, have no effect on a vampire. For a cross or crucifix to harm a vampire, the person wielding it must have faith. These people obviously do not.

If a vampire bites you you don't change immediately. Abigail's different her father's technically Dracula who knows how he works in this film but the next person bitten by the most powerful vampire always gets some kind of extra cool s*** like flying turning into the mist turning into bats or sometimes anything. according to Abigail you have to be alive for a long time to cool stuff. Abigail either chose when she was going to change Sammy or she knew the exact timing Sammy was changing due to a psychic connection thats Usually how it works. when you're bitten they have to drain you to almost near death and it's always the neck nowhere else Sammy was changed from an arm bite which means Abigail's special or it's just different in this story. these vampires are odd they're not affected by garlic like in blade or most stories holy things don't work but they did in from dusk till Dawn. But wooden stakes and sunlight works all of them. In some stories Dracula can walk out in the open like blade 3 and I also saw him do it in other films water is a weakness too not holy water regular water. Alucard in Castlevania can be killed by water in the game at least not sure about the anime. The landbard Part when he bit the guy with the glasses he infected him then put his blood in his mouth vampire's blood is usually dead so it doesn't work that way it probably doesn't give them any nourishment then he spit up his own blood. they need hemoglobin from living creatures to live that's why he left Joey there so he could feed on her. Vampires can die if their blood is drained, at least that's what Abigail said. but in underworld when you drain all the blood out of them they just turn hard but you could re-juice them after hundreds of years by pouring enough blood on them, they're completely revived.

If there's a sequel, she comes back as a vampire from swallowing Frank's explosive blood. I'm calling it now.

As far as “frightening image” for Megan, hate to break it to you but image wise, the credit goes to the DESIGNERS who MADE the Megan face. The actresses face is COVERED. However, Abigail’s actress face is shown and she nails the facial expressions. However, Megan’s actress did a good job with the dancing. And her voice actress did well with singing..

#FanPops I don't know which trailer you saw, but the one that I saw was very clear about them kidnapping a little ballerina girl who turns out to be a vampire. Just, so you know they weren't planning on making anymore movies, but this as done so well that they might reconsider. God I want so many movies sequels & prequels. When I first saw this movie my biggest complaint was that after killing Lambert Frank didn't revert back to being human. According to Vampire lore if you manage to kill the vampire who bit you then you'll go back to being human. I was like it doesn't make sense especially since Joey went back to being human after she helped kill Frank. I re-watched the movie and I realized at the very beginning that Abigail had bitten Frank when they first kidnapped her, so then it made complete sense (I missed it the first time because I was too busy eating pizza & drinking). I was also surprised that no one brought that part up after realizing that Abigail was a vampire. Usually in most vampire movies the people around you are usually aware of who got bit by a vampire (which is another reason why I missed it because I was expecting it). Joey & Sammy didn't turn into Vampires because they never got to drink Vampire blood. They are just potential slaves and clearly Frank didn't know how unlike Abigail It was very funny how this movie kept you guys guessing and you guys kept talking like my mother!
