This video reminds me of the “Rule of The Tomato.” Strength: your ability to crush a Tomato Dexterity: your ability to dodge a Tomato that is thrown at you Constitution: your ability to eat a rotten tomato without getting sick Intelligence: knowing a Tomato is a fruit Wisdom: knowing that tomato’s do not go in a fruit salad Charisma: your ability to convince someone to eat a Tomato Fruit Salad.

Still can't tell what the difference between intelligence and wisdom is tho.
@humanthefinite8304
@humanthefinite8304 5 жыл бұрын
@@julianzhuang9552 I'm not sure if this applies to d&d, but I would imagine that intelligence is a measurement of how well you retain knowledge or subjects of study and wisdom is being able to deduce cause and effect based off of personal experience. Idk, this might be nonsense but it makes sense to me lol.

@@humanthefinite8304I checked the dictionary, and the definition is almost the same as yours. Although I'm not sure how the game defines them, I think it is just like what you said basically. Thanks.

I remember there were guards on the walls of this city. I decided to tell them a joke just to see what happened. I rolled a Nat 20. The guards couldn’t keep themselves together because of how hard they were laughing. The other players and I were coming up with this elaborate plan to get into the city. Since my joke roll was so successful, I decided to just ask the guards if we could go in. The DM told me to roll again and I got another Nat 20. Proudest moment of my life😂

@@zaimakis4333 Nat 20, or Natural 20, has nothing to do with a character’s nature stat. It is a dice roll that lands on 20, not including modifiers. Basically, they rolled the dice and it landed on the number 20. I hope I explained it clearly

Getting back into D and D after about 30 years away from it. These videos have been a tremendous help, I like the idea that I can go to my LGS and just jump in. Things haven't changed a whole lot, it seem easier to play now. I seem to remember lots of tables to check. Anyway an episode 3 would be great, thank you for your content.

These are great videos so far, thank you. I not new to D&D but haven't played since high school (13 years.) I've been playing Pathfinder for at least 3 years and just want to rekindle the differences between the two (And I played like 2e) because I want to start a LoZ Breath of the Wild campaign. And all of the races and such are already made for the picking for 5e D&D. I'm super excited for this campaign and my first DM'ing so I want to get it down right.

Thank you for these videos! My girlfriend has been slowly getting me interested in D&D for the past month or so. We even made a character together, although I haven't decided on a name yet. We're going to do a few one-shots soon, and then if I like it, I can be introduced to the main cast that she's playing with once a week now. These videos make me think that I have enough understanding to have fun with the game now. I was always so scared of being outcasted by a group, because I wouldn't know what I was doing. Especially since everybody who mentions playing D&D are veterans. Again, thank you.

Thanks for pointing that out! I’m not sure why that is, but maybe will just take time. If you click on the little i in the upper right corner of the video you’ll find a link to the first video, and I mentioned this in the intro. I did put this on a playlist with the first one, but maybe it hasn’t shown up yet. The videos on the right are KZbin suggestions, and I have no control over which videos KZbin chooses to suggest.

Good explanation but I think skills were better in 3.5 because you got to choose from a wide range and advanced the ranks which made it more of a gradual process to increase skills, seems more realistic than in the new system. Also skill modifiers if I remember correctly in 3.5 are determined by your class not tied down to abilities exclusively.
