​@MassimoDeBock yeah, Udyr doesn't have an ability that does one thing when it's toggled on and something else when it's toggled off, he had 4 different actives and could only use one at a time The comment replying jinx is half right, since that is a weapon change ability not a stance change ability If udyr had a single ability that could be toggled on or off then it would count for what our boi is trying to say about Aatrox, stance change mechanics are a staple of JRPGs which usually lets you switch between an aggressive stance, a balanced stance, and a defensive stance, and the idea is you would stay in the stance you picked at the start of the fight What Udyr does, is constantly switch stances, and I could be wrong but I believe old Udyr had cooldowns The reason Jinx has a weapon change and not a true stance change is it consumes mana for her to fire her rocket, effectively she uses mana like a kind of special ammo, then she runs out and has to return to base to get more "rockets" A true stance doesn't consume a resource like mana, it just is a togglable passive that helps in one of two basic areas, with a 3rd stance usually being for a compromise of each

Fun fact about Ezreal, at one point his W let him be a support in like 2012, 2013. Keria being a madman like he is got a shoutout for playing him support for the first time in well over a decade in a recent LCK game. Keria is only mentioned in first paragraph, in the second "he" refers to Ezreal, not Keria. Wouldn't make sense to have a sentence "Almost as funny as those times Keria was played Jungle..." obviously. And the time bmac4 is referring to was when Runic Echo jungle item was so OP people took smite in mid just so they can buy it and play AP ezreal on mid. IIRC it transferred Ezreal's Q damage into being magic damage, so items like Void staff worked fully on it, it had mini splash Luden's Echo and had a sheen effect.

@@MrMrtvozornikim pretty sure they don’t refer to runic echo ezreal, but to an ezreal build with the ad jungle item. Otherwise this would have mentioned ezreal midlane instead. Maybe I misread, but I am pretty sure ezreal used to be played with the AD jungle item, when actually played in jungle.

Ezreal has been just a weird champ, so much so he once could be played jungle and even has a skin (because SSG Haru played it) from being played Jungle.

Fun anecdote: there was a rioter at pax prime one year back in the day that the NA summer playoffs were hosted whose choice of interaction before giving out skin codes was asking people what the most broken passive combo they could think of was. Most people were saying some combination of Zac, Anivia, and Aatrox. I said Volibear and Poppy. The moment of comprehension turning to fear was great.

Man, some of my best memories of the early days of messing around with friends was a Taric/Nunu bot lane. Shatter to lower the enemies armor, blood boil to boost both of our attack and move speeds, snowball to slow them, the stun on demand, and the aura toggle for quick trades. We had so much sustain as well, lol.

leblanc before she got un-reworked was basically ryze but without ryze's weaknesses. doesn't need to scale for late game to start dealing damage and her W-Q-passive combo is basically ryze E-Q but better

Nunu's Blood Boil was considered OP for a long time before they even added the AP granting component to it. In the early seasons of League Nunu support with Blood Boil max was meta just for the constant attack speed buff.

Regarding ezreal's W (the version without debuff/heal), with no modern runes like manaflow band you wouldn't level W at all until maxing out Q and E, it was rather clunky skillshot viable only for AP fooling around. For Ez to get attack speed from it he would need to throw W and waste E to get hit by it and considering there was no mobility creep like today cost was too big.

Old Poppy with the right runes set up + old Jungle items is horrified. It basically negate Poppy main weakness, weak early game. She can powerfarm through jungle with reasonable speed which become more scary when she get some level. And when she level 6, Her ganking potential is ridiculous since she just dive your tower with other teammate and doesn''t care a bit about Tower or Support. She can jsut walk into the lane from behind tower , ult you , push you toward her teammate and start beating the shit out of you with no care in the world.

To quote UberDanger: "LeBlanc's rework was so good, they undid it!" Personally, I actually agree with him. LB was certainly broken back then, but the problem is she was so much fun to play in that rework, as it increased her skill expression by a large margin. Current LB feels weak in most situations, especially in low elo.

Poppy was the single best assassin that has ever existed in the game. With critting magic damage, mobility, and her ult giving a huge % damage increase on the target and making her immune to other targets, a late game Poppy could just kill whatever one person she wanted. Playing her burst assassin was her best, and intended role. Fighter is actually what got her removed from the game since she would just ult the support and fight everyone else when she couldn't be damaged at all. That was a toxic play pattern. And the worst part is, it didn't even work most of the time. If the enemy team knew how to scatter when you ulted the support, it was a 100% worthless tactic, whereas the assassin play pattern worked almost every time late game and was a reliable deletion of a strong unit. Her original intended concept is still kinda alive in the form of Mordekaiser, but it's way more counterable since you can just end his ult outright with QSS and QSS-like abilities (you could only remove the bonus damage from her ult) and he's immobile, unlike Poppy who was both very fast with her W and had a dash as well with her E. And of course, in that era of the rework, they'd just turn any melee champion that wasn't obviously a melee ADC (aka had a shield or passive defensive ability) into a tank...which is why Poppy is a tank now.

Its sad we dont have so many Auras anymore. For example in Smite there are entire Item trees around Aura Items that Tank Support build to become the beefy beating heart of the team comp. Unkillable CC Machines that jack up their team mates. Aura-Kephri is just so fucking fun

Blood Thirst/Price should've stayed with "New" Aatrox idc how they do it, it should've stayed LeBlanc should've still kept the "mimic" of her R after her revert. The one where she creates a clone whenever she uses her R, just to keep her "Deceiver" feel. RR had to go because it was global but the R clone should've stayed

As a Dota player I get a little chuckle out of these videos. I mean a 5 second, 40% attack speed buff for your team and debuff for enemies if they all happen to line up in a straight line and get hit by a tiny golden projectile. Way too strong, OMG Riot wtf! It's so weird how weak these abilities seem to me but how easily they break the balance of the game.
