On the page, You need to choose the right business type, then your registration number from CAC and then your business or company name. Once you do that, it should load your TIN automatically from their servers.

It takes a while for you to get it. Wait for it and your TIN will be sent to your email address. You can also contact their support using the email it phone number on their support page to fast track the processing.

Some states have high number of requests and some states don't. Besides, these guys are lazy and there is nothing you can do about it. But you can visit their office in your state and partner with one of their staff members. If money exchanges hands, I believe it can be faster.

You can't fast track TIN. You have to wait in line and when it gets to your turn, it will be processed. Processing time depends on the state office handling your application. So you have to be patient.

The JTB TIN is the new number system even though the FIRS number is still accepted. The JTB TIN is universal and accepted in all states if you ever decided to move to another state. So you should get that too.

For individual Taxpayer identification number, they have removed the page for that but now you don't need to register I think. You are assigned one based on your BVN or NIN number. You can go to tinverification.jtb.gov.ng/Template/TINVerification and use your BVN or NIN to see if you have one assigned to you. If not, you can go to their office and get your Tax ID.

You are welcome. Actually there is no time frame. It depends on the office as it think state offices handle this. So it might take some days or weeks. You just have to be patient with them. Once it's ready, you will get an email. You can also continue to check the site for your TIN too by typing in your business and see if a number comes up.

You can start with the individual ID but It's best you register as a business later if you want to do POS business. Cost you just N10,500 to register your business and in about a week or two you will get your business name registered fully.

Individual TIN is generated for you through your BVN or NIN numbers. For your business, you need to register by clicking the non-individual TIN. Enter your business details and your TIN will be sent to your email address after some few weeks.

@@chinasaelizabeth1982 That means you made the mistake when you registered the first time. There is non individual and there is individual and you probably chose individual. But you shouldn't be able to register with your CAC if you picked that option and get a certificate with your names. The certificate should have your business name. Make sure you choose the non individual and register again. If it gives you the same TIN Request exists then you might need to send them an email or call them to complain. Their name and email is on the contact us page on their website.

You can use it temporarily i think but you will need to get the Tax ID of the country you travel to. All countries have their own tax ID system..

You can register for a VAT number by completing FIRS Form 001. You have to get your personal or company registration number first and enter it on the form. Complete and submit the form and you will get your own 10-digit VAT identification number to use on invoices or when submitting VAT returns. You can go to the FIRS office to the get the form or go to their website and download and fill the form..

Just follow the steps in the video. It's very easy. Go to the page indicated and enter your CAC number. Make sure to include the RC number in front of the number and submit. It's just 3 fields. Then wait for the TIN to be sent to the email.

You can calculate your income tax yourself by using the FIRS income calculator and pay directly to your state board of internal revenue via their bank account or go to their office to pay directly monthly or once a year. I will create a video soon to let you know how this is done.

Just follow the steps in the video. You can check for a personal Tax ID using your BVN on the personal page. If you want the corporate tax ID instead then you need to register your business name and then go to the site in the video, enter business registered number and then click the search button to get the tax ID. It's that easy

If you mean have your TIN number on your certificate, you can't. They are handled by two different bodies. You just need to have both when you need to open a corporate bank account or do other businesses that require business verification.

Check your email for the TIN Request Creation Notice. In that email, you will get the ID of your request and you can use that when you contact them.

@@NetplusTraining funny enough they never sent any mail, it's been more than 12 days I made the application, I have sent repeated mails to them, they just won't respond. And I haven't been issued the TIN too. So I am at a crossed road, don't know what to do

@@brannyajayi3869 Yes sometimes it's just so annoying. You are supposed to get an email right away after you register and get an ID for you to do follow-up. The last TIN I registered took 9 months for them to approve it, they just sent me a TIN number and the notification last week since June last year. The others I did before this took just days. They probably are getting more request than they can handle and since they are all lazy, there is always backlogs. I also think it depends on the state board handling it. You can copy the phone number on their website and give them a call and just tell them your company or business name if you don't have an ID. You just have to be patient. This is Nigeria for you.

Your TIN serves as your personal or company's file number for all federal taxes and future correspondence with the FIRS. No need to pay annual fee on the number. You will need that when paying your taxes to FIRS...

I applied for this Registration. It's getting over a week now. But yet to hear from them.. Have sent countless emails, not even a single feedback. Even an auto-responder is not enabled in their email marketing service. I also called the CS number, currently switched off even during working hours. SMH. It takes approximately 5-7 working days sometimes. Just be patient. Their support is not that great and since it's the beginning of the year, I am sure they have some backlogs of applications. As long as you completed all the steps and submitted all required documents, you are good.

@@montfortchisom6803 Just do what I did. As shown in the video, copy the email address which is at the top of their website and send them a mail. In my case it was ready but they just didn't send it but once I sent them an email they responded in less than 24 hours. Do that and wait. It's Nigeria in and Sometimes you just have to be patient with them. You can also call the number on their contact us page.
