As someone who struggles with autism and alexithymia, I operate on reason more than emotion. Once I encountered a cougar in the woods and wasn't afraid because I knew it'd be illogical to be, as I'd be more likely to be attacked if I showed fear. Once a family member died, one that was quite dear to me, and I didn't even cry, because what's that going to accomplish? I was quite disturbed by myself by how unreactive I can be. People like me cannot be emotionally manipulated pawns so therefore they pretend we don't exist or throw dismissive labels on us. These woke types operate entirely on emotion, so I can't even communicate with them. The language barrier is impenetrable. They want words that sound nice, I want words that make sense.

Damn is that a common thing in how HFA mourns? Because that accurately describes how I feel when my brother, mother and grandma passed away. I always wondered why I was able to come straight home and just enjoy playing Warcraft after my whole family saw my brother get dragged by the river current at the park literally 2 hours later. My sister then asked how could I play game after what just happened and I told her "The police/authority will eventually find him don't worry." Was around 7-8 y/o at the time
@nashthrashington9749
@nashthrashington9749 4 жыл бұрын
Three Equals D I'd look into Alexithymia. It's more accurate. Autism is a vague term. Alexithymia is specifically that lack of emotion. Although it is not the same as psychopathy or anything. It's more like the threshold for emotion is inconsistent and typically quite high, as if it accumulates for huge periods of time, but then bursts. Personally I'm rather collected and catatonic most of the time. Unaffected by everything. But then one day I'll suffer from a massive swarm of emotions, typically meaning strong bouts of paranoia in my case. It could be different for others though. The simplest definition of Alexithymia is an inability to describe emotions, so being Alexithymic, I'm probably bad at explaining what it is. Funny I can never play the victim and say "you don't know how it feels", because even I'm perplexed by how I feel.

Coolt XZ “I wouldn’t mind people with great talent or discipline make it in this world as long as they aren’t ***holes” Firstly, by what measure of morality are you going to stop them? If it is deed, then even the worst entrepreneur pays his employees/ the worst slave owner fed their slaves. The issue there is the fact that if anyone has the power to stop anyone, for any reason, nobody is exempt. You may be stopped from opening up a shop if you had ever stolen a toothbrush for example. If it is intent, than it’s worth mentioning that everyone is selfish. As Aphotic mentioned, even good actions are selfish. Humans are eternally, inseparably selfish. Secondly, with what power will you stop them? Your wallet? Unfortunately, you may be alone in this endeavor if you are looking for a boycott. Capitalism *IS* forced altruism after all. An employer can’t make profit if they don’t make good, cheap, fast goods. They can’t supply those goods if they don’t have employees, which means they have to provide a competitive wage (it’s worth noting that taxes actively hurt this) in order to keep good workers.

@@bacht4799 That is completely ignoring the reality of life. We are all alone, nobody else is responsible for us. And we cannot trust that someone else will fix our problems for us. Therefore having the power to fight for ourselves is the most important, because oppressing the individual will always lead to dystopia Now as a society we need to cooperate, but we cooperate from the basis of our own needs. We sacrefice some of our own freedom for the benefit of society, but we do so to instead receive privileges back, that we think is worth the exchange. As soon as people don't think the deal they have with society is fair you will get revolution. Revolution happen because in the end we are all individuals, and society has 0 power without us.

You can say the best runners come from sub-Saharan African nations, where geography and culture have for millennia made long distance running necessary, and where it's still culturally relevant, and that'd be more accurate in terms of a biological argument. A malaria threat doesn't explain a predisposition to violence, as you can't outfight a disease or even a mosquito. Other climates had much more visible predators and yet aren't associated with violence (unless you include old headhunter tribe stories). For someone who recognizes patterns, you're ignoring the much more important socioeconomic patterns for a vague biological correlation that lacks causality. Facts are facts, but that doesn't mean anyone can see all of them.

Its super late so hopefully this doesn't come out too weird and perhaps you don't read this or nobody does but that's ok i need to get this off my chest. I'm saving this video and using it as I'm an autistic man and I'm currently struggling with life because i do not have the social connections necessary to find permanent work and i live remotely and can't afford to move. I feel like a societal outcast and that I was born wrong because i know i will mess up and often do so and because of the intersectional types they'll hound me and I'm not sure if i have the tools necessary to cope with that. I don't advertise this channel as much as i should because currently streaming and content creation is how i work since i can't get a job I may as well create one for myself. I know it seems strange but I often get so anxious and have deleted many projects off the face of the earth because i had an 'autistic moment' during recording that i feel people would misinterpret or i feel its not good enough. I do not want to live in a world without being able to comeback from making mistakes and for all their supposed "do goodery" the world feels dark, lonely and cold due to their stranglehold on social spaces and pop culture. Maybe someday ill overcome this fear perhaps many will look down on me for being supposedly weak and I guess I am. And for anyone who got this far thank you and I wish you success in life whomever you might be I hope this can help you relate to me because I wish to build bridges of understanding than spew castigation because I cannot force a chaotic universe to be arbitrarly just based on a flawed set of ideals.

I was diagnosed with high functioning Aspbergers last year, and I can tell you from personal experience that this, and any other form of social autism, does fundamentally alter people perception of you. If I don't communicate my Aspbergers people often think I'm a creep and I stare too much and I don't communicate in a friendly and inviting manner and people just generally have a wary and distant opinion of me if any at all. On the other hand, if I do tell people I have it (which I don't do often), I'm inevitably looked down on. I don't blame people for it, and I can appreciate them trying to be nice but it's sorta like being the only person in the wheelchair in your group of friends. They may all respect you and understand your disability but ultimately you won't ever be asked if you want to go on a hike. It's hard to sympathize with any disabled person, especially autistic people because they tend to have quite obnoxious or offensive behavior and because of that difficulty to sympathize, the woke jihad doesn't antagonize them because they are an "oppressed class" (by their own definition) but they don't except them because they are actually fundamentally different, so they are simply ignored. Also could be cause autistic people don't have as heroic and martyrous a history as the rest of the superficial identities so the identities' history can't be exploited for power. Sorry if this was unorganized or hard to read, just tried to get some thoughts out

Being autistic we're some of the most socially unaccepted groups of people on the planet, and its mostly by the people you mentioned in your video (not mentioning names, comment was deleted prior). The ordinary layman is accepting of oddities in behavior within proper boundaries and the typical high functioning autistic person builds those boundaries throughout their lifetime. I've grounded myself over the years with people that have accept or at least tolerated me and I've been working to act my role in society to an acceptable manner (IRL I do have a more optimistic view of the world, not so much on the internet it's hellish here). However, as I mentioned prior, those people challenge my ability to properly assimilate ever in society (to the point I have no other choice to live somewhere else if they keep encroaching on my lifestyle).

Me too.. as one with Asperger I sometimes fear SJW or feminist because they feels like no matter what you do or excuse yourself or trying you best it’s feels like it’s not enough and you ask for theirs faults because we all got them then it’s not them but everyone else.. who is the problem.. I not saying it’s all of them that’s unfair and they probably right of things they saying but hard to see what it is now and then.. black and white thinking.. it’s a bitch right..

Yeah, I can "pass" as normal most of the time (I think? I Hope?), but any kind of complex social interaction is pretty much lost on me. As you can imagine, I have had exactly 0 success in even getting a date. And not for lack of trying. The worst part is that I always think that they're interested, but when I look back I can clearly see that they weren't. I'm just going to try online dating when I move out, at least then the expectation would be that we are both looking for a relationship.

I feel this on a personal level. I'm schizophrenic and it kinda hurts seeing people on social media who advocate social justice use terms like "schizo" or "psychotic" in derogatory ways. I don't get in Facebook debates often but I made a status saying that the violent schizophrenic trope doesn't hold any real merit statistically. I couldn't believe the amount of backlash I got for saying people like me aren't innately murderous or violent. It was disheartening seeing dozens of comments of people saying that the only reason someone kills is if they're mentally ill which is obviously not the case as most mass shootings in America or serial killers didn't have severe mental disorders they were just evil.

The reason SJWs fail to advocate effectively for conventionally-disabled persons such as myself is our needs are concrete. For gender/race/sexuality, the "issues" faced are abstract: it's enough to incoherently spout buzzwords, to belligerently insist on representation at any cost, and to callously cancel your opponents. But we disabled don't benefit from any of that. Because when all us said and done, we still have the same issues we've always had. The blind and deaf need adapted media; the wheelchair-bound need ramps and elevators; and all of us need you to understand in concrete terms how our disabilities affect us, and how best you can help. Supporting disabled people is hard fucking graft, and the SJWs just aren't up to it.

I have Asperger's, and for all its faults I would not change myself. If I didn't have autism, I would be a different person, and for all my faults I have never known a different life. I have a hard time interpreting social cues (not sure if that's the right phrasing), I stim (flapping my hands when I'm in some amount of distress and others), I have troubles with many textures of food, and I have special interests. All this and more is me. (Apparently it's noticeable that I'm different, and I just don't get that.)

I have high functioning Aspbergers too and I don't think I'd want to change either. I think maybe Aspbergers is a bit different from something like down syndrome because down syndrome dramatically lowers your functions. Aspbergers made me very lonley but it also drove me to be a worthwhile individual because it forced me to. I'm good at things because without people, all I have are those things. I always thought of it as "limitations breed creativity" (that might be a quote from somewhere). When I get anxious I fold the loose skin on my palm under my thumb over the tip of my finger. On the Jewish question: why does everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, conflate Jewish heritage with jewish religion? They are two very distinct things. It's not like Jews switch between being POC or Caucasian, it's just that people keep tqlking about two different things as if they're the same exact thing. It's so stupid, and where normally stupidity is amusing to me, this is starting to get a fair bit annoying. Ben Shapiro and a rabbi born and raised in Jerusalem are both Jewish, and one is caucasion and the other most certainly is not. That's not a difficult thing to understand for someone with a mediocre amount of intelligence. But it seems that very few people are even in possession of that.

While I do not fully agree with what you argue, I can appreciate that you seem to take a fairly balanced perspective on issues and try to come to genuine conclusions. That being said, the flaw I see in your argument is that an ignorant, reactionary group of "sjws" spouting hate in an effort to gain virtue clout is not an authoritative voice of the Intersectionality agenda. A relatively small amount of ppl who misinterpret and weaponize that agenda are not advocates, they are abusers. The same can be said for small minorities of the right side as well. There are ppl like you who seem to want legitimate discourse and there are ppl who abuse that discourse in order to excuse spreading misinformation and hatred of jews, muslims, non-whites etc... Cancel culture is a genuine issue on the left but it is not caused at the center of these agendas and does not invalidate them. Its the same mob-mentality echo chamber that leads to witch hunts and doesn't discredit the movements themselves. I hope you reply because id genuinely like to hear ur thoughts on this :)

I've known people who are autistic and because they told me they don't want to be judged by that label they don't tell anyone and they are very clearly made fun of in a way that if you revealed they were autic the Leftist mobs would be revealed as blatantly hypocritical bigots. But I will say this most of the Transgender people I know personally seem to be on the spectrum and they can learn to jump on the bandwagon of SJWism, and the others will use that as a flag. Its sickening using oppressed people as a tool if they are useful and disenfranchising them if they are not.

Great video. I've definitely seen that happen. I was once in a group of people where none of us knew each other that well, three people in the group were all biologically male but either trans women or non-binary people. I'm a cis woman and there was a cis man who was autistic. The trans people wanted to know everyone's pronouns before having a conversation. I was like whatever I'm not going to argue over it so said I am a 'she' (even though to be frank I'd say it's obvious). The autistic guy seemed to get the question but not how to answer it. At first he was like 'oh you know just normal' and then realised that didn't sound right so he was like 'heterosexual' and basically just floundered. I felt so bad for him because he clearly wasn't trying to be rude or awkward he just didn't get what he was meant to say. And the three trans people literally just laughed at him like he was stupid. I'm not saying all trans people would act like that I've met plenty who get that it's tough and try to be understanding. But I honestly think to this group it was all just a game, and they really seemed to enjoy the fact that they'd caught someone out. That's just gross no matter how 'oppressed' you think you are. However, there also seems to be another side of this where a lot of SJW's are actually autistic. I think because it's an easy way to make friends and get accepted that some autistic people struggle with otherwise. Just say you're a disabled, queer, asexual and shave your head and you've got a ready made social group to slot into without needing to learn complicated social skills. Because it's a friendship based on politics and identity not personality. In some respects it's a very autistic game because it's quite rule oriented and overly simplistic way of viewing the world and relationships between people. Autistic people are basically being exploited in both cases just in different ways. Excuse the essay. XD

When I got accused of Bigotry and Transphobia, I said: "There's a TV show called "The Good Doctor" that follows a young doctor who has Autism and there was an episode regarding a boy who wants to be a girl so he let his hair grow long and takes Puberty Blocking Pills and his parents are okay with him being Transgender, but the pills are causing issues that unless he stops taking them, he'll die young. Shawn, the autistic doctor doesn't comprehend the idea of Transgenderism and addresses his patient by his biological gender. Why do I bring this up? Because I'm also on the Spectrum but not as severe as in the show and so Mom and I watch The Good Doctor together because she wants to know how much in common I have with Shawn in terms of being Autistic and I can relate to some parts. So the idea of being Non-Binary or Transgender is completely incompressible to me and how I view everything about it, but like Shawn, I don't discriminate. I'm blunt with my opinions sure, but I carry no hatred in me regarding LGBTQ." I got a reply that Autism is no excuse for bigotry and I'm trying to hide it behind a tv show.

Man, in recent years, I've become more and more thankful that I was born autistic. While I haven't been able to get through all this political bullshit unscathed (I do end up thinking about how certain things will piss off the overly sensitive types at times when I would rather not be thinking about that and instead just enjoy whatever's in front of me), I'm thankful that my autism just kicks in and I can innocently enjoy and be immersed in stuff and not perceive whatever it is these social tyrants keep banging on about. I'm still able to just look at people as people and forget about all the unnecessary considerations that SJWs would rather I consider, because being social to any degree is such a task for my brain that I don't even have room to consider extraneous details. I can barely even look at people when I talk to them anyway, so how a person appears doesn't even matter to me that much, which means that people *are* their ideas and their voice to me. I do still try to see where SJWs are coming from because I want to at least understand different perspectives (which has proven to be the greatest undertaking of sympathy I have ever endured, since they're mostly insane), but I'm glad it hasn't totally corrupted me and poisoned my ability to see things through my own eyes. Though it does regularly put a hamper on my hopes for the future with how much control they seem to have over society at the moment.

as a woman with ASPD (antisocial personality disorder, colloquially known as psychopathy / sociopathy) i appreciate you mentioning the disorder in a non judgmental way. i’ve only told a few people since being diagnosed several years ago but some have mistaken the symptoms that do present themselves as autism - and despite both disorders sharing a couple of symptoms (disconnection emotionally from others being the strongest one, as well as lack of empathy), it’s even more stigmatized than having autism or asperger’s (which has been renamed to “autism spectrum disorder” by the way; to encompass both high + low functioning people in a shorter hand method). cluster B personality disorders have always been the biggest target for stigmatization, since people like me who are extremely high in Factor 1 traits (technically a “socialized psychopath”, aka where the term “sociopath” comes from) can stay out of prison (those with high Factor 2 traits, inversely, are the ones who usually commit impulsive criminal acts + are arrested for violent and/or destructive crimes) yet we’re treated like we’re ticking time bombs anyway. in the same way that people with autism spectrum disorder simply view the world different, me (and others with ASPD) simply view the world - and people - differently. we’re logical, not emotional; prone to boredom, seem aloof and rarely experience negative emotions like anxiety + depression. we have that “social smoothing” that a polite, NT person has, except we don’t legitimately care about many people. we “wear the mask”, “play the part”, but are completely disconnected emotionally from the world around us… and eventually we can’t keep the act up, or the mask slips, and things can go very sideways very quickly as a result. i had to quit my old job because i was breaking lockers in rage after being treated like trash by my managers and the company as a whole. regardless of the wokesters and intersectional larpies not considering us “oppressed enough”, there are things neurodivergent people have to accept and deal with on a daily basis. i know i can’t work for anyone besides myself. i’ll be in intensive therapy for the rest of my life as a preventative measure to keep me out of legal trouble; and i have to mitigate the risks of manipulating + hurting others by isolating myself from even my own family at times. i take sole responsibility for the things i’ve done and i do what i can to make sure i don’t hurt anyone else (or cause chaos in general) in the future. i’ve owned up to my terrible actions in the past and don’t blame anyone else. yet despite all of that; according to the wokesters, because i’m a Jewish woman who is mixed with Cuban + Colombian descent, a part of the LGBTQPA alphabet soup group, have terrible vision + carpal tunnel in both hands & wrists, and have trouble walking sometimes (i use crutches mostly but sometimes a cane), those things matter more than the personality disorder which affects my life much more severely than any of the other boxes i check off in the intersectional bingo card. this kinda shit is why i abandoned the left (and calling myself a “liberal”) a long, long time ago. i knew this was coming and wanted nothing to do with it. i’m socially left and fiscally conservative anyway lol. hope this comment made some kind of sense, i took my sleeping meds a while ago so i’m nodding out. going to bed now. thanks for the commentary, SFO. i’ve been subbed to you for a while and i appreciate you calling out the absurdity and hypocrisy of the progressive left.

I'm autistic but have an odd amount of social intelligence so I can play the game somewhat. I have Tourette's but it's physical twitches It's very weird because it seems to lead to me being somewhat "babied" in a way? It's like "Oh you can play the game congrats you get to be swaddled" and it's like... Part of me screams because of shit like that because I can clearly see the ableism and the whole game being played but I have to bite down on that part of my autism to not be a target. It's taken literal decades to work on that, learn acting, learn social cues, just to pretend I'm autistic in the 'acceptable' way so I can get the help I need It is so fucking exhausting to do my brain is not wired to play this game of bullshit

The only thing I agree with marxist thinker is that some people had way to much of a burden for them to carry alone. The old pull yourself by your bootstraps is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.

Is there an overlap between intersectionality, a lack of self-awareness and an inability to distinguish fiction and reality? Even if someone is "magicially cured" of a disorder that impedes certain kinds of behavior, the intersectionalists might not take into account that the person will still need some kind of therapy to help them adjust to life without it. I mean, if I was someone like Christina-chan and suddenly cured, I'd still have to live with the fallout of what I'd done up to that point. Probably not the best example, though... You hit the nail on the head when you brought up points regarding shock humor; the person making the joke doesn't believe what they're saying, but an intersectionalist will take that joke at face value. Another example I've seen relates to negative (and potential) life-changing experiences being used in media. Let's say someone uses their traumatic experience as a basis for a fictional book. I've seen far too often that the author being thrown to the lions for using their "unclean" experiences because the mere act of the author doing so is an act of re-traumatization, or worse, the people making such a claim would say that the author is trying to traumatize other people. I think, however, I may be speaking too simply or comparing apples to oranges.

High functioning and low functioning has been a very oudated and incorrect term for awhile now. The DSM-5 includes the three levels of support for autism. Some people who are nuerodivergent have considered functioning labels offensive, some not so much. As of recently the term being used is high masking which is suppressing autistic traits to blend in with NT’s. Also high functioning and low functioning were never official diagnosis, they are just terms used. Also even if it wasn’t outdated it’s difficult to define what high functioning autism really is and it’s arguably subjective. Autism is different for everyone, there is a spectrum. Also the labels which they basically are don’t benefit people with ASD. Take for instance an autistic person who is strongly skilled in academics. They can solve calculus problems , analyze old philosophical texts, write brilliant essays. On paper it sounds like they have “high functioning” autism but they can very well have trouble with interpersonal skills, self advocacy “, etc. the term can downplay their autism and NT’s can easily overlook their flaws which could mean less access to accommodations.

This is an extremely comprehensive and helpful video, but I do want to make a note. Disabilities are *seen* as inherently negative (and if you look at it as ability=worth they are, but you could apply that to pretty much everyone in some way) but they are not inherently negative. For many of us, if we could push a button and not be disabled, we wouldn't do it. Because it's who we are, it's such a deep part of us. While many of our struggles are entirely due to the disability, much of it is also societal the same say racism or sexism is. Our only challenges are not just being unable to do things. We also struggle to find employers willing to hire us (they think we'll be a burden), we struggle to date sometimes (people are unwilling to date disabled people), we fear unwanted or overly personal questions from strangers, we can be paid less, we don't have marriage equality (we basically sign away any aid we get by marrying), sometimes doctors won't resuscitate us because they believe our lives are not worth living (this happens with Covid-19). It's not always inherent, and it *is* something that can be improved. TL;DR Disabled people are happy the way we are, and many of our issues are societal.

Im not sure about more technical disabilities but one reason i dont like the idea of "curing" autism is that it has a personallity component. Sure there are probably aspects of myself that would be convenient to alter (better dexterity for example) but just becoming normal so that other people will be happier is offputting

I think it’s wild that she said keel the Jays. It’s probably BECAUSE that is forbidden in this day and age. It’s like her saying keel the Enzez. People who have Tourette’s syndrome are hilarious sometimes. I don’t wish that on anyone but everyone knows it’s funny sometimes. There’s comedy movies that have done bits on it. They just belt out the craziest sht out of left field. Lol.
