Never even thought of using a triplet grid instead of the groove pool but it's so effective. Cheers Keith!

Always considered programming triplets right in line with one another, but this is so great to just use the grid to throw in sparse hits here and there. thank you for sharing, these tips are amazing! Thank you Keith!

Also remember, the most important spot in house drum programming, is the last 1/16 in your loop...

Why is the last 16th the most important ? I can think of a few other places that play a pivotal rule in creating a cool house groove :)
@Curtiss1965
@Curtiss1965 5 жыл бұрын
Finish More Music Yes, the heavely swung 1/16T groove is very cool and can make a huge difference in your record. :-) But you also want to consider creating the skipping-snare/jacking-style/funk/house transition between your sections, often used by legendary house producers by inserting a dry hip-hop snare at the last 1/16 of your loop,. This method has also been used sucsessfully several times by legends like Kool & the Gang, James Brown and many more, using horns, drums, vocal hits and other instruments with a fast attack to create the insane groove they are known for... Try it! :-)
