Subscribed :) Are you still teaching at Uni? The person in the video taught me for a few months. Great to still be taught by you, as you are knowledgeable.

I would please like to ask where or which website are most of these samples from? All the samples you have used are awesome, high quality house samples, that I struggle to find on websites like Splice. Which website are these lit samples from? Thank you!

MusicTech I know this is an older, appreciated video. I have a question. I have used slice to midi for a long time - though generally I find small slices unrewarding. More like sound effects which can be created in arrangement view using loop braces and audio (or MIDI). What IS useful is that Ableton inserts and entire MIDI track. For example, yesterday I sliced audio loops of me playing live guitar phrases. I had five phrases and this is what doesn't make sense. I made five slices. Each was a guitar riff of oh, 2-6 seconds. Trouble is each requires it's own channel. Say "slice one" is on a channel. If I drag slice two onto a clip slot on the channel with slice one, it won't play slice two. It still plays slice one. And so I now have two channels. Then I make a slice 'three.' Slice three won't play on slice two or one it has to have it's own channel. What is going on? Many thanks.

I'd love to be able to see the entire screen you're working on and explaining. Not sure what value there is in looking at you during the explanation. The entire screen would give full context to your instruction.

right click on the sample in an instance of simpler [it's own separate track]. If you have a controller [computer keyboard can be used as well] after routing in preferences u should be able to hear/play [i prefer one-shot/slice] as u rearrange slices. If put directly in simpler it asks slice to midi / slice to drum rack...but you load the sample in a drum rack your only option is 'slice to midi'...a lot of trial and error and generally feeling stupid at times but slowly figuring this ableton thing out!
