@@DavidMoviez I'm pretty sure in the original it's one of the first times George Harrison used the Indian instrument known as the sitar. I haven't looked it up, so I could be wrong.

When the acoustic, 12-string, and bass parts are all put together, it is one of the best versions of Norwegian Wood that I have ever heard.

I remember when I first listened to this song in the 60's (a was a 5yo kid) through a tape recorder.... I couldn't understand what kind of "noise" it had, never listened anything like that, initially I thought that the tape recorder was broken, then maybe the track was misrecorded? Now it's one of my favourite song to play on guitar :-)

Nice job! I remember as a teen learning it from the LP Rubber Soul. After a while though the popcorn from the vinyl wearing out made it tough.

I have begun to practice this with y 12 string. I also have a bass guitar. What I don't know how, is to lay each instrument track on Garage Band.

Another great job. Nice Martin 12 string. Thank you for showing the different parts. Very helpful. I know the six string part, but now will learn the 12 string part which I assume is George along with the sitar part. George did use a real sitar but the “sitar guitar” is pretty cool.

Nice! I got a pretty convincing Sitar sound with a Strat with incredibly old strings, a "Leslie-type pedal" and some delay.
@brianmason82055 жыл бұрын
That's exactly how I play it. With the capo.
@TheBabypod2 жыл бұрын
On the 12 string using the capo at 2, are you playing an F and G on the bridge instead of a Dm and G which is what Beatles sheet music and UG show. Or, are you playing a Dm but it just looks like an F?

I once had a girl Or should I say she once had me She showed me her room Isn't it good Norwegian wood? She asked me to stay And she told me to sit anywhere So I looked around And I noticed there wasn't a chair I sat on a rug biding my time Drinking her wine We talked until two and then she said "It's time for bed" She told me she worked In the morning and started to laugh I told her I didn't And crawled off to sleep in the bath And when I awoke I was alone This bird had flown So I lit a fire Isn't it good Norwegian wood?
