I just wanted to say I found your channel because my parents in their 70s are going to be travelling over Christmas with Royal Caribbean. Unfortunately they won't be on your ship, they are taking one of the smaller ships. And I am not cruising with them. But I wanted to find out what the situation was like on board now with COVID and the steps that the crew has taken. Watching your videos with you in isolating and all your hardworking made me so relieved that they will be safe. Thanks for reassuring me. Wish I could be coming along and see you skate some time. Thanks for all the great videos.

Reminds me of my theater experience back in college. First, there's all of the hard work that goes into putting on a production. Then the thrill of the show. And then the bittersweet ending, when you're happy that it was a success, but also the sadness that it's all over. Only you don't need to be sad, because you'll be back at it in about a month.

Congratulations for your collab! And dry dock, already? Is it normal? Will you all stay onboard??? (those with a contract for the year) And you said Europe, does it mean St Nazaire or Norway? And the music's tempo was perfectly accorded to the show choreography, nice job ;)
@jbauth3 жыл бұрын
thanks so much :) yes it’s normal, it happens every few years! we’re staying onboard for the dry dock, and it’s in Brest France but sadly we aren’t able to get off at all (0 shore leave)
@3y312un33 жыл бұрын
@@jbauth Woot, Brest, tonnerre de Brest!!! - it's an idiom ^^. I didn't know that they had a civilian dry dock big enough tho. It's a pity, the food is goooood, Brest is THE place to eat crepes and galettes!!! - and drink lol. And i'd have been happy to go just to say hi, it's not rly far :) Brest is a nice town - although it was bombed during ww2. It's a very specific part of France, it's the Bretagne ; we had our own tongue, we still have our own culture too with our own flag, and you may see pretty landscapes from the ship!!! Also probably some "cold" and rain too - the weather here is lovely LOL

@@lindatannock Oh that's uncommon, even among French people, Finistère (its county) means "end of the earth", i hope you will!!! Brittany is a land of legends and myths, the King's Arthur forest may even still be here. There are also hundreds of castles full of stories, especially at the French border. Mont St Michel is a must see, especially if you can spend a night inside ; imo Notre Dame didn't hold the comparaison. Otw St Malo is a nice city, it was a pirate town, and it may be one of the best places in the world to watch the spring tides - at the Mont, which is close, the tide is as fast as a running horse, genuinely. And about shopping, although it's not Paris, Rennes and Nantes are neat ; it was less bombed, we have a metro, a lot of shops, and some of the best macaroons and chocolates in France =D (Also if you love France, less known places like the "Hôtel de la Païva" in Paris or ancient shipwoner's houses on the shore may worth the shot as much as more crowded places)

I use to be able to do hand stands then I got way taller and heavier throwing off triple joint in elbow. Then after black ice fall, my right elbows MCL is permanently torn resulting in unrepairable right side nerve damage. I can still kick myself in the head ten times in a minute, so not all lost.

As an ex show skater, I can neither confirm nor deny that we would play pranks on each other in shows 😂. That would be great fun hehe 😉. I can answer, as I'm no longer in shows. You just need to do something that won't affect the show, but that'll give everyone a laugh to relieve the boredom of doing the same thing, over and over 💖🏴⛸
