Daily bed maker here too! Love how you are able to organize such a small space. I had enough trouble in a balcony cabin for a week on that ship. You did a great job making it feel cozy and homey. I saw another video of crew member showing his room and it was so stark and empty, it made me feel sad! All those touches really help when you'll be spending 10 months there!

I didn't do shows on a ship, but I did shows in theme parks for 9 months of the year. Making your room your own is half the battle tbh! Obviously I had a lot more space lol, but I'd take my own duvet set and tv, and put up shelves and have a big picture gallery on my wall that grew as the season progressed! (There were no digital pics then, so I had copies of everything! 😉) In my last contract I even had a sofa in my room, as in Germany once every couple of months people put anything they don't want out into the street, and you can take whatever you want for free! Picked up a lot of great things that way 😊. It's so important to feel comfortable and "at home" wherever you are. Helps stave off the homesickness a bit 💖💖

Just an fyi, if you find you need more storage, buy a shoe caddy like you have and hang it on outside of your bathroom door. The pockets are great to store all kinds of things from hygiene/personal care stuff to anything small enough to stick in the pockets. We also bought hooks with magnets that worked well for damp towels, swimsuits, jackets etc since the cabins are metal walled.

Hiii, your cabin is so cute! You’re giving me some good ideas, thank you! I’m starting my first contract in March! I have a few ques - Do you guys usually buy the décor before you go or do you wait to buy it until you’re onboard? Thinking it’s easier to buy it while you’re onboard after seeing the space & also so you don’t have to pack it but not sure how easy it easy it is to get packages. Which leads me to my next question, lol. How do you fit all the bedding & everything in your bags when your contact is up? I’m assuming your bags were already pretty full when you boarded. Do you just leave things behind & buy new things every contract?

I just got signed as a talent to Royal Caribbean last week, but I’m about to head out for Carnival Cruise Lines as a playlist prod singer/dancer! (It’s been an exciting past 2 weeks😂). This is my first Cruise contract EVER and I’m soooo excited!! I’v literally been watching your videos and writing down things I need to get/pack that completely slipped my mind initially😂 (peepin the Make-up organizer and cold brew coffee maker especially lol). yes! depending on your position onboard, you get different living arrangements! some have guest cabins, some have cabins to themselves, port holes, etc

I was on Adventure of the Seas on the August 7th - 14th 2021 sailing. I enjoyed the ice show. My piano teacher is a former Royal Caribbean ship musician (Carnival as well; though we never had the same voyage as far as I know. I missed him by two months on one ship). I heard from my MDR server the crew wasn't allowed to go ashore at this time, which made me wonder how they got toiletries. Oh, I noticed the Speed Stick. I'm not sure what happened to my own deodorant, but it was missing from my luggage. That seemed to be the only one available in the shop, and at $10 (instead of the usual dollar store stuff I get) I'm going to make sure I don't forget it next time.

Personally it used to grate on my nerves sharing a room with someone, regardless of how well we got along, and we had way bigger rooms (on land). Whoever you shared your room with was the person you got your 1 day a week off with too 😬. The bonus was not being stuck in such close quarters on a ship though, and I made sure to make friends outwith my fellow show performers, so I had an escape if I needed it. All the show performers tended to stick together, as we all understood each others lives pretty well. Fortunately I got my own room on a few contracts 😁

Man, that is a small space for two people. I'm sure there can be conflicts if roommates don't have the same habits. And your bathroom is SO small. I'm a little surprised that the crew has such sparse quarters. You have a great attitude about it all!
