We start our next journey which takes us into Utah! I have been really excited about this portion of our trip for months. We plan to go stay in Moab for about a week so we can visit Arches & Canyonlands National Parks. Also while there we'll be renting a side by side to explore some of the off road trails in the area.

Hey Adam if you have time to do a little drive while you are at the camp ground go south on Hi Way 191 just past Arches National Park entrance to Hi Way 279 west along the Colo river and there is several spots along the road to look at the old Indian writing on the rock walls and also at the end of the black top is a Potash and Salt plant that we haul from with our trucks back to Colo and other states. It is a very nice drive along the river.

Lived in Colorado, Utah and Nevada for many years at different jobs. I’ve traveled that road many, many times. If you can swing it, the prettiest drive I’ve ever taken is from Glenwood Springs up through Carbondale and on up to Aspen. When the trees along the river are changing, you will see reds, yellows, oranges and greens for miles and miles.

Good work guys. Just found your channel when you were reviewing Tiger Run in Breck. We love that area and I have been considering Tiger Run. Not big fan of hoyty toyty places but not many options in the area. Have the same Ram 2500 but 6.4 Hemi. Moab would certainly be doable from Breckenridge. Your opinion on 6.4 Hemi thru the passes would be appreciated. Keep up the good work I subscribed and look forward to following you.

Funny thing about "No Name, CO", I saw it and had to look it up. It got that name literally because it had no name, and that was actually a place marker on the order sheet when they ordered the highway signs, and it just stuck.... Also, funny thing about the drive up to Grand Mesa (you passed the exit), why is there a door in the bottom of the mountain? I have not found the answer to that one yet....

Several years ago Wife & I flew out to Reno, NV. Rented a car and drove throughout the area, including Carson City (with it's Silver impregnated street boundary boulders), and Virginia City (Bonanza TV show), old west town (with the Buckets of Blood Saloon), close to the Comstock Load Silver Mine. On our way back to the Hotel (Silver Legacy), there was a section of highway I think around Washoe, and the speed limit sign read, and I quote "Be Careful", unfortunately we had rented a Ford Escort and couldn't take advantage of that (don't know if it's still that way).

This is what makes the Western Slope of Colorado the place for me to live. I enjoy the mild winters, gentle farming lands, yet a 20 minute drive I can be in some of the most rugged mountain in America, or some of the most desolate desert there is. We go to Lake Powell quite a bit. Amazing desert rocks, arches, huge lake. You'll enjoy MOAB.

Yes, pronounced palace - aid. Renowned for all sorts of fruits. I just love the little trays of black cherries, but the peaches of course are way more famous. Soft, ripe, juicy and delicious. On the way back, if you see a fruit stand open Adam or Abby, stop in and see what might be left. I would recommend a bit of everything, it will be good.

Being a local, its amazing to see your experience, mistakes, and misedfortune. moab has changed a thousand times fold just this last year or two. Most locals are sick of all the noise, crowds and traffuk. Perhaps your vids would ask locals whats important to us. Surely, someone would have told you to visit Arches before daybreak.
@AbomAdventures
@AbomAdventures 4 жыл бұрын
You don’t think all locals feel that way? I mean how many millions come to Florida each year to stay for the winter or just vacation on the beach? Millions. That’s the way it’s becoming for all places of interest. It’s busy everywhere and that’s just the way it’s going to be. I’ll never apologize for the places we visit and videos I share about them. Locals should be happy to see their towns and city’s thrive from the revenue tourist brings.
@marchorwitz8308
@marchorwitz8308 4 жыл бұрын
@@AbomAdventures i didnt suggest you should apologize. People can visit a place w o total disregard for the community they visit. You do it. A little respect is all we ask. Many here dont want to sell out our quality of life for all that money. So sorry Arches was closed to you. At least you didnt get stuck in traffuk.
