One of the other stories ABP read really made me feel for this. An imperial guard sniper and a raven guard marine where the guardsmen tries to blow them both up at the end to avoid being captured and eaten by the Kroot but fails to get it off at the end. That pales in comparison to this marines fate though, pure purgatory.

Right. I always wondered why they just didn't entomb the Emperor in a Dreadnought. He would live. His mind would still be intact and he would ve able to regenerate at his own pace while defending the Imperium from Chaos.

I find it hard to believe that Blackheart was once a loyal space marine. Every tale and story I hear, only proves the evil of his Corsairs and himself. It's good to hear though, that one, remained loyal.

Calum Deighton he was once loyal. An astral claw in the 35 millennium. Then he became a self imposed planetary governor and corrupted by power. There he was named the tyrant of Badab. Chaos turned him completely during a mortal wound.

Makes you wonder what Huron found while he was in isolation in the palace of thorns, pouring over chapter lore and histories. Did he have a shock revelation of his chapters parentage then? And the realisation that if the wider imperium ever found that out his whole legion were condemed to death. The only way to survive at that point would be to stop sending gene seed tithes to the mechanicum less they find out, and form an independant sector the imperium could not afford to attack.

I always figured the Dark Angels would have upper class English accents, due to them being sort of based on the old knightly orders. In my head canon, I've a few accents for different worlds/chapters; Ultramarines are Italian since they're based on Roman Legions, Iron Warriors are Greek, Space Wolves are Nordic, White Scars are Mongolian, Thousand Sons are Egyptian, Tallarn are sort of Middle Eastern, Death Korps of Krieg are German and the Tanith are Irish. Oh, and Emperor's Children are French; no other accent can quite encapsulate their sheer arrogance.
