Good setup. It should provide nice clean water for the family. I would prefer a few smartly placed ball valves for servicing. Assume you will branch off water for water heater over in the camper. Coming together. Thanks for sharing

For our rainharvest we do "Rain Harvesting Pty Leaf Eater" -> 400 micron pond filter sock -> tanks (3 x 2500g) -> pump -> 50gal (Water Worker) Pressure Tank -> 20 micron -> 5 micron -> Class A UV -> House. We're in our 4th year and have replaced 20" filters 4 times and the UV light twice but ready for #3 soon. We harvest/use about 18,000gal / year from 2000sq ft roof. Pretty low maintenance, things work just like city water except it tastes better to us :)

I know nothing about plumbing but seems to me the UV switch should be on the intake side of the light? Seems like un UV filtered water would get through while the bulb is off until the flow is registered coming out? Anywho nice that you have enough room between the tumbleweed trees for the basketball hoop! Looking forward to the next one!

The uv light will be filled with water completely at all times when water is moving or not. So when water starts to flow when a faucet (for example) is turned on and water starts moving on the inlet side, then it is also moving on the exit side of the uv light at the exact same time. So it shouldn't matter which side the flow switch is on. I put it where it is because it was more convenient. Thanks for the question. 👍

Only problem I can see is not having a couple of shut offs before and after the filters. You eventually need to change the filters, can't do that under pressure.

If you have so many gallons of filter water before changing the filters or UV light, why connect the washing machine instead of connecting the washing machine directly from the water tank?
