What I have found out through my own experience having the gastric bypass surgery 2 years ago, and listening to the ignorance that some people have about the bariatric surgery, is the “misconception” that they have thinking that by having this surgery, they will never, ever again will gain weight again, and can eat all they want which is not true. If people don’t change their eating habits to begin with and start eating healthy foods, they will gain the weight back no matter what. The old mentality has to go. Period. This surgery helps those to lose the extra weight they had , like in my case……BUT if they continue to keep their “old eating habits” as to the continuance of eating “fast foods” to begin with, it will NOT help these folks, they are lying to themselves and the weight will be back. I know a lady who happened to have the gastric bypass surgery 20 years ago, and who is extremely heavy now in the present time, and who told me the following: that what she “didn’t like about the surgery is that she could not eat fast foods and lasagne, her favorite meal; but now, she eats “huge portions of lasagne” she craved after having bariatric surgery.” I was speechless. In addition, she continued, “I don eat “boring food,” like you eat, (meaning me) I eat whatever I want including but not limited to, drinking alcohol.” A very sad case of true and unforgiving ignorance. Thank you Dr. Weiner for your excellent videos, I truly appreciated. And I will keep following you until you retire! 😊👍🙌

I did the metabolic reset program for 2 weeks and gained 1.8lbs. This was very disappointing. I did not have bariatric surgery I bought the book for my husband who just did have surgery. I followed the instructions of the reset. Do you have any feedback for me I am at a loss here as to how to continue. I want to lose 30lb. I very rarely eat processed foods. I am in the habit of making most of my condiments myself.
