calling these guys sellouts is a joke. One of the best bands ever. Awesome performers and have remained creative and original their whole career.

that piano solo... brought tears to my eyes and gave me goosebumps and the tinglies all through my spine. good music will do that to you. and i loved when he stood up, like he just couldnt help it because he was so into it. fucking amazing performance. it's a tragedy they had to take on such a generic sound to get noticed as they are now. man this song brings back so many memories... some i dont want to remember, some i love to remember. such is life. and life is music. peace.

They are still good... If you were a real fan of OAR you would be happy for them finally getting signed after so long. They are living the dream and still making awesome music. And their shows are still the best live shows around. Have you learned nothing from their music?

well that's basically what I'm saying. My friends and I fell in love with their old sound, can't stand the new sound, it's like their pulling a Dave matthews one us like an everyday album. My one friend today said he has lost all respect for OAR, though mostly it was because "Wonderful day" was in a car commercial. But at least it was one of their good songs.

compare to the live sound. And just because they were able to write some really great "radio friendly" music does not make them sellouts. True fans should be happy for them to finally actually be recognized for their great talent, maybe they can actually put food on their table by doing something they obviously love to do and are dedicated to doing it, no matter if they made millions or not, that's true musicians. What would some haters on here define "sellout" as anyhow?

I remember going to small arenas in Atlanta when they would play in front of a few thousand people and they didn't even have a piano player. Nothing against MikelParis (piano player), I think it's made them better. I think they are one the greatest bands of the new era (2000s) and have revolutionized the new era of rock. Black Rock, great, Crazy Game of Poker, great, and I still can't listen to City on Down w/o crying bc my friend (who has passed away) and I would sing it all night. OAR rocks

Yeah, without a doubt, I saw them last summer @ spac, as always their live performance is amazing. Their live sound is so much more rich, layered, and full, it has a "largeness" to it that the studio can't capture mostly because bands have to record with a "radio friendly" sound in mind and O.A.R.'s music is just not that simple and one dimensional. Phish, Sublime, and many other "jam" bands I can't think of right now are similar. While they were able to make amazing studio albums, they don't

It's sad that because a group gets popular and has finally made it big, which was probably their (and most bands) dreams when starting out and they apparently "sell out". True fans still stay true though.

you're right. ive been saying the exact same fucking thing since i saw the shattered video on VH1. i nearly cried... because now they just sound like the generic shit. notice, they weren't publicized like they are now until they adopted that generic sound. i guess that generic sound is a requirement for being on the charts because people just refuse to expand their musical horizons. most people just like what everyone else likes. it's the truth.
