About art, and the freedom of your irrelevance

Investigate your resistance to the following: You can only create your work because it matters to you - but it isn’t ultimately essential for the system of art.
Therein lies tremendous freedom: once you get beyond your ego. No artwork is ever essential for art - because art is a collective platform. You matter. You don’t matter.
It’s the multitude of ALL artworks that makes art so powerful. Art thrives on diversity of voices and choices. On the unknown attitude. On the rare process and idea.
Art is known for blockbuster dynamics: museums, institutions, curators, collectors, auction records, the Larger-Than-Life life. Don’t let yourself be intimidated by these. Let yourself be inspired by yourself.
It can be helpful to understand art as a platform to document life. As such, it is open to everything - the same way that life is: any process, any idea, any material, medium, collaboration: if you do it, it’s valid.
Now go, and do it.
