I'm new to the channel, but as soon as one of you said "once upon a time in Anatolia" is one of the best movies of the last 20 years i hit that sub button. ❤

Great discussion. I loved this film and it was the first of Ceylan’s that I’d seen. I’ll definitely check out Once Upon a Time in Anatolia.

I think the reason for breaking the fourth wall there is to break the emotionality of that scene and not turn that scene into some kind of melodrama.

I think we all agree, he’s a great director but this is a lesser work that’s s bit of a head scratcher
