So true brother; experimenting is super important as an artist.

Exactly! I came to this conclusion after trying to always make my melodies unique. Always got so frustrated and then gave up. You can't make things entirely unique. As you said: Take what you like and create your own perspective of it. Accept, that it sounds similar to other stuff. And thank you for reminding me about the veggies, never underestimate the importance of vitamins! Immer weiter so!

Fully agreed - just let your influences carry you into your own sound and let it flow naturally 😊

Well said brother, if I’m being honest... tutorials were the worst thing to happen to the EDM community. Now people rely on tutorials to create sounds, rather than just diving in and taking the long route to just see what every nob does. It’s such a better way to learn cause you can find your ‘unique style’ by doing this. Hope this video reaches heaps of ppl 💚

Infekt!!! 💟 I watched this bcos I'm an upcoming album artist and I question "uniqueness" with artwork..!! Yes, we all draw inspo from somewhere, and with digital art omg there's so few tutorials... So it's all experimentation!!! Glad to hear it from you also great vid! ✌️

I think what you said about trying to emulate your favorite sounds/artists but not being able to perfect it is absolutely true. Being new to producing, this is something that I have experienced myself. In fact some of the best pieces of music I have made so far came about as a result of me trying but failing to recreate certain sounds from my favorite artists.

This is exactly what happened with you Christian. I tried my hardest to be Infekt and as a result. I have created an Infekt ODB Mutant hybrid style.!! You explained it exactly how i did in my own mind Weirdd..

Damn, man.. I've been listening to your music for a long time but today is the first time I'm watching your vids and I gotta say that the fact, that you're not presenting yourself as a kind of "star" but just doing regular vlogs as a regular, really kind and cool guy is just simply adorabale.. You're awesome, keep it up!!!

Infekt, I was at your show in SLC on the 18th. I watched several of your videos before you came here, and when you jumped down into the crowd right next to me, and you had that "Oh shit what did I just jump into" look on your face I was honestly blown back. That was an amazing show, and if you don't remember me, I'm the guy that kept saying "Come back to Utah please come back to Utah please!" You are such a legend man, riddim forever.

Virtual riot started off trying to make Skrillex basses and actually used to master like koan sound in the early stages. He ofc found his sound but that changes over time depending on his inflences a that time. Seriously compare 2014 VR, 2015 VR, 2017 VR, and 2019 VR.

Nice video, man!!! For me the way to be unique or finding your unique sound is play around the stock plugin in your software, you will find the sound that you like, and add those sound that you like into your music production, it will sounds different than others and unique. I know it's hard to use and match all the sounds that you like into your production, but if you put a lot off effort to it, you will find a way to match and glue everything in your production. 👍👍👍😊😊😊 PS:synthesiser is the important things for you to create unique sound, but if you are an synthesiser newbie like me😂😂😂, you can match the sounds in your software to create your own unique sound👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥 Enjoy when you are finding your own sound 👍👍👍😊😊😊

Yo, would it be possible to do a video explaining your reasoning behind why you dont separate the sub on a second track but rather separate it on the same track with multi band dynamics. Saw this in the disciple livestream. Why do you like that better than a pure sine wave sub? Doesn't it prevent you from getting those mid bass tracks super loud since the sub is taking up headroom?
