I can relate with your living situation. I live in Florida and am either dealing with or have dealt with almost everything you have that you mentioned in this video. Except for the bad roads ruining your bike. I ride a motor scooter, and that SOB has proven to be durable, as I've been in several accidents with it and the only repair I've needed to make as a result of those accidents is replacing the broken muffler.

I found your channel watching the I Am Not Starfire videos since I finally read it for myself last month so I could finally watch reviews as to why it was hated. Really fun watching that series. Yeah each community is trash. I really want to hop on talking about whatever when it comes to gaming/anime/manga/cartoons but I'm so shy and don't know what kind of community I would create or have. I feel like I'm thick skinned but I overthink a lot. I just think we need more black or brown women in the animation/gaming community. But enough of that, I hope to catch more of your videos. 😄

another thing to consider about furries is the majority of us are autistic (like me) and it's a pretty well known fact that people with autism have poor social skills (like me) I use to not understand that it's not ok to about things like fetishes in public. Yo, hi, I know this is an old comment (and vid) but as someone else on the spectrum who, thanks to socialization, learned this via self censoring off of rather… severe… context clues (nothing screams “watch what you say and do” like being an autistic girl child who is a tomboy and has been wrestled into a skirt and then promptly yelled at by teachers all day for being “inappropriate” in how I sat, moved, or hung upside down, all while in like… the second grade). I solved most of the “appropriate topics” issues as they surrounded _me_ by simply refusing to conform to standards that would land me in that same spot of being forced to not act as I please within physical space. Did I still have some awkward moments because my mouth talked before my brain over scrutinized it? Yes. As a general rule, I took the masking idea of “would this be allowed to air for general audiences on TV?” (And I did this as a teen so 2004-2010 TV, modern TV is… not a good model) and applied it to my “appropriate discussion box.” I also, personally, (since I do enjoy mimicking to make my life just more simple, especially with masking) nabbed two characters from wildly different shows and combined them into a sort of filter to see what was or wasn’t appropriate. It basically went “would Jack Harkness do this? Yes, no?” If it was “yes” then I’d filter it through “would Elijah Mikaelson do this?” if it was a “no” I _only_ would say/do the thing around _extremely_ close friends (and if it was furry stuff, only around other furs I was extremely close to.) If it was yes on both, then it was socially acceptable (had a more broken filter using Spike from BTVS and Jack, but it still spared me massive embarrassment/being inappropriate in public.) We might not understand social cues, or miss it entirely (I give the “I didn’t pick up on your behavior” more of a pass as opposed to how I personally act,) but we do (dare I say it, xD) live in a society, and as apart of that social contract we agreed to by doing things like going to the store and not being reclusive, it’s on us to not violate that appropriateness. And I say that with a lot of affection and good intent, as someone with an uncle who was way less socially functional than I am, and did things like drop trow when going to get shots instead of just politely showing enough skin to get the injection. And who read an article that said people respond better when having their name called in greeting interactions-but also spoke in monotone so he came across as… a bit much while saying “Good morning, how are you… Rebecca?” There are absolutely social cues I whoosh, and sometimes I will fall _dead_ silent studying someone and trying to figure out _what_ they meant and how I’m to respond-also why I prefer text to voice because ugggghhh tones are difficult most days-but it’s always better to not overshare than to over share and make people really uncomfortable. Like I said: super close friends can get my real thoughts, and I have assumed everyone else will probably be put off so I keep my trap shut. Also, it helps with not saying something I’d regret on social media as well. If anyone was wondering why I use pre-established characters, as opposed to how _I_ might feel if someone said XYZ to me, it’s because I’m not really… affected by whatever someone says/thinks. Are there certain things I think are morally wrong and I would never speak to someone again if I found out they thought that? Yup. 100%. But those kind of people (I’m meaning p^dos and zoos) _especially_ that tiny minority in the furry fandom, tend to broadcast that stuff loud and clear, and _not_ because they’re autistic. But I know that TV characters have to be written to various ratings, so using them as a checks and balance system is extremely helpful. And yes, the fact that the two who I use(d) to make sure the “Harkness approved thoughts” don’t squick anyone out, are both vampires and rather brutal about things, is not lost on me. It works well as scaffolding to not really step in it, and to gauge close friendship by what _they_ felt comfortable telling me, and then I match that. Just thought I’d offer my personal experience, since fur or not, it’s not any fun freaking people out, and genuinely not meaning to. :/

Lived all across the US, somehow never been to NY. though I imagine it isn't horribly different from San Fran. Like yeah E vs W coast and the differences that come with that. but major metro on the coast with significant populations I'm just gonna assume similar enough not to get culture shock. Not that I've ever gotten culture shock between living in Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Hawaii, Fuck Alabama, Virginia, California, Washington Best of luck with your channel and I hope to see that webtoon soon enough.
