No idea where you pulled that number from 🤣🤣 the 5080 isn't going to be 30% ahead, not in raster. These are RT results and RT uplift is bigger, hence why they showed no games with our RT enabled. Expect more like 20% raster uplift. It will either be alight behond the 4090 or match it. Its definitely not beating it, besides maybe in games with heavy RT

Why though? Neural rendering uses less vram. I think we need to wait and see it perform in Indy Jones because that is truly the only title I can think of right now that I can't play in 4k on my 4080s with PT enabled. I play every other game in 4k max settings with RT on and I barely crack 10gb vram usage. It really isn't super necessary. And it's quite a smart business move to give the option of a 5080 16gb and 5080ti with 24 later on. You can also buy the top of the line AMD card which can't even do PT or RT well in the first place which makes the 24gb the card has useless. But at least you can say you have more vram.

They didn't really cut the price. Nvidia cut the specs. The 5080 is a 70 class card... for 1000$. The 5070 is a 60 class card with 12GB for 550... even 350 would be too much for the 5070. That 12GB of VRAM will age like milk that is left out of the fridge.

The 5070ti should be 4080 super performance, but we've had the 4080 super go as low as $1395 before while on sale...you can get them right now for a little over $1,600 right now. So these aren't exciting at all. You can also get a 4080 second hand for under $1,200 pretty easily lol that's the way to go unless people care about multi frame gen 😂

Nvidia moved the goal posts (from 4000 series onwards) when they decided to give the 103 Die as an 80 class card when the 103 was always a 70 class, the 102 Die which my 3080TI has GA102 was the last 102 on an 80 class card - those 102's are now used for the 90 class at $2k so their shifting of Die's down and charging the consumer more per Die, so no I don't think the prices are good at all as I'm not getting the Die real estate I was getting in previous generations. GA-102 = 3080/3080TI GB-102 4090 GA-103 = 3070/3070TI GB-103 4080 Others have noticed this too and I think the 3080TI will be my last Geforce ☹

I just got a 4080 super for $1,100 Aud which is around $675 usd. It's second hand but never used apparently lol. Should perform about the same as the 5070ti. 70ti probably has slightly better ray tracing which i don't care about at all lol. Multi frame gen looks terrible too lol. Best bet is too buy second hand. I saved myself $400 aud from buying the 5070ti for the same performance and I got a decent model that overclocks well 👌

Like in Hellblade 2 max settings DLAA + FG I use around 10gb. Now, a 5070 can't even run that game at the same frame rate with DLAA + FG at max settings. So what the fuck do you need more than 12gb for on that card? And let's be honest, people who buy a 5070 don't want to use RT or PT. Those who do will buy a 5080ti or a 5090. IMO, if AMD wants to sell in large numbers and regain some market share back then the 9070 XT has to either significantly beat the 5070 and be a little cheaper or if it's around the same performance then it needs to be significantly cheaper, like $399. AMD needs to forget about profit margins this generation, they are making insane money from server, $399 would still be easily a profit and a massively higher profit then PS5/Xbox chips they sell, so just take the market share win here AMD. Obviously if the turns out to be faster than the 5070Ti then AMD can price it a little higher, maybe $599 but in a nutshell AMD needs to understand their branding carries a 30-50% drag factor, rightly or wrongly but that's the reality of today.

I think the 5070/5070Ti are good price-performance. The 5070Ti may be the most attractive in the lineup. The 5080 is still an oddball, I don't know how well it will sell but $999 vs $1199 for the 4080 at launch looks better but I agree that $899 seems right for the modest bump over the 5070Ti. The 5090 is in a league of its own and at $1999 they're going to sell very well.

5090 - Unless you're using it for work, this is just a poor financial decision .1/10 5080 - Low VRAM relative to the performance, at least the price didn't go up. 4/10 5070 ti - If it performs like a 4080s, meh. Not great, not terrible, probably the best buy of the 4 still. 6/10 5070 - Low VRAM, at least price didn't go up. 4/10 I think we may see a mid gen refresh once 3gb g7 memory chips are widely available, giving the 5080 and 5070 ti 24gigs and the 5070 18gigs. My concern then would be how much more Nvidia will charge for more memory, we already know they thought an extra 8 gigs on the 4060ti was worth a 25% increase in price. I'll personally wait to see what's offered in the $300-$400 range as that's where I want to buy. With AMD actually competing in that price segment, hopefully we see better cards, but AMD never misses an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

I feel bad for the poor kid who shells out $1,000 for a 4K 480Hz Oled screen because some old guy in a $20,000 alligator jacket told him he should first, feel bad about his setup since apparently most of us have $10,000 computer systems minus the GPU,- and next he will get 4090 killing performance in his favorite game at great FPS rates on his new 4K monitor. The 5080 is the worst card in the line-up imo. It would only make sense at $899. Better off spending almost 30% for the 5070ti for only a 15% loss in performance. At $999 it needs to be faster than the 4090 by at least 15% and have a minimum of 20gb vram. 70ti is the only somewhat interesting card, but to be honest it will probably barely beat a 4080 super....better off saving money and getting one of those second hand imo. RTX 5090 is only 30-35% faster than the RTX 4090. RTX 5080 I am expecting 10-15% faster than an RTX 4080 Super. The RTX 5070 Ti will match the RTX 4070 Ti Super and the RTX 5070 will match the 4070 Ti. The RTX 5060 will match the RTX 4070.

IMO, RTX 5090 = graphics workstation / software development GPU, not enthusiast GPU. RTX 5080 = high end enthusiast GPU. RTX 5070 Ti = upper mid range GPU. RTX 5070 = lower mid range GPU. and RTX 5060 = new GPU for the cost conscious masses.
