One thing I have found helpful is wearing sun glasses while in shops, transport, crowds etc. I have found that reduces a lot of the disoriantation

I have lived with vestibular disease for years due to a mistake not head injury.. I am so glad there is some information getting out, for years there was nothing. It is a disability that is not seen and is very hard to explain and this alone is exhausting let alone trying to live day to day life. I do hope the word and help does get out and hopefully some type of cure. It is a very lonely disease.

The only thing I've learnt from my experience is physio to help your brain adapt to your situation..there was studies and they were inventing some type of apparatus in Quebec Canada but it was stopped due to lack of funding.Hooefully something will come to fruition.

The VEDA website has an online database where you can find a vestibular physiotherapist and otolaryngologists in your area.

If you give them a donation they said they will send info . As I didn't have extra $ basically like the Drs. they as agreed sucks to be me . Today it's 7 yrs 11months 14 days since nerve was burned out in right ear . First TBI on 12/5/71 . Tuff stuff to get through ?
@BoomerAnn8 жыл бұрын
This would have more impact without the plea to donate... I understand why you ask, but the placement is all wrong. A few seconds at the end, perhaps...but not a speech lasting nearly a minute.

Hi Ann - thanks for your comment. Today is the first day of Balance Awareness Week, the event for which this video was created, hence the call for action to support the cause. We certainly understand that not everyone is in a position to do this.

What does it matter, the point is to let people know what this disease is!
