i tried a challenge run similar to this and it really is crazy how in-depth the melee system is. enemies with sandevistans can have really inconsistent timing because of them timing it with either attacks or dodging

Dude it took me up until my latest playthrough to realize that the pills Misty gives you are directly referencing the matrix. The red pills kill you, "freeing you from the nightmare" while the blue pills prolong the inevitable, exactly like in the matrix.

Being able to speed up time to 20x (or whatever you want) with the time acceleration mod is a godsend for getting through unskippable dialog/cutscenes like with Takemura at the diner.

@@Jenna_Talia i dont know how. geralt is augmented through chemical mutations. v literally has advanced technology and tempered steel among all the crazy future metals all over their body. they have augments that can crunch cars and rip doors off hinges effortlessly it isnt fair to geralt at all

@@junehollybell5977 And this is considering game geralt, who is leagues stronger than book geralt just by virue of power creep and the games requiring spectacle. People don't realize that witchers are basically really good swordsmen with honed senses and not much more. Everything else they have access to is knowledge based and without potions, witchers aren't anywhere near top dog. But who knows, maybe Geralt could cast axii and get a quick kill on V.

in case u didnt know, i'm pretty sure with the 2.0 update, all levels scale to ur level, even the secret ending. i think they keep the difficulty up by placing you up against more skull enemies however its nowhere near as impossible as it was before. i think the lowest ive completed it at since the 2.0 update was around level 30/35 (however this was a 20 body build with high HP and using every heavy machine gun the enemies dropped). if this has been changed since, feel free to call me out, just adding my experiences!

Back when I played this so much (when it came out) I tried getting this ending for hours. had manual saves for Kerry/Rouge/Johnny grave section and followed a guide to the T and it never happened. Might pick it back up and give it another shot. insane to me how you just decide "this is the ending i'm doing" even if it's with such a restriction as this, it's insane but incredible.

Tbh, I would far prefer more voiceover commentary describing the aspects of the challenge and the game mechanics, as well as discussing your general approach to specific missions, locations and bosses. Not everyone who watches the video will be familiar with the ins and outs of the game, and even if most are, it helps it to feel more like you are engaging with the video's audience. Having the edited video mostly just be a supercut of your streams can feel dull, especially since in so much of the gameplay you're talking to your chat in a one-sided conversation we aren't privy to. Moreover, a video-only viewer like myself winds up with zero context for what weapons you're using, what skills/perks/cyberware/etc you are running to optimize things (and how they help), or what mods you have installed. That last bit at least would be nice if you included the mod list in the decription, with links for if a viewer might like to try playing the way you do. Just a suggestion. Regardless, I'm a big fan and hope to see more. ^_^

8:45 I don't know all the conversations this works on but I know ones that used to be skippable, if you load the autosave made before the dialog started, it becomes skippable again. I'm not sure if the unskippable dialog os a bug or if making it skippable again is I don't remembered why I tried this but if you can quicksave or the game makes an autosave, loading it will allow you to skip again

Just gonna leave this comment here as I don't really seem to see anyone think about doing that: while blocking bullets does often cost a few countries worth of stamina, a rather easy trick imo is to simply get the lvl 20 reflex talent for air dashing not just being free but GIVING stamina and then simply holding block while dashing either around or, if that would bring you out of LOS or is just too annoying, simply keep air dashing into a wall next to you, so you get the stamina, but don't actually move. made life so much easier for me once I realised that

so big tip for your following challenge run you can get to like nigh-permanant 90% damage reduction with a few peices of cyberware: Kerenzikov + defenznikov + all the cyberware that increases mitigation STRENGTH (not chance). with the dash mitigation perk you have 100% mit chance in dash, and with defensikov you have 100% mit chance for 2 seconds after dash which is almpst enough time to get kerenzikov back if you have maxed out cyberware CD perks.

Yeah the melee enemies hit timings are all over the fucking place. Doesn't help that spacing doesn't exist in this game either they can visibly completely miss you but the game says no they hit you. Also I think instead of punching you should have been allowed to use grenades to knock Oda out of healing since then at least you never hit left click so you keep that portion of the run alive. Oh and the gorilla arms deal damage when pushing, food for thought for that "pushing only" run idea someone said. Not a bad move either since they also let you use the -40% damage taken while blocking for blunt weapons.
