I have had the speed sensor error check engine light come on twice. And I have used the switch dozens of times. Its weird that it only throws the code occasionally. I will be interested to hear if yours ever gets the check engine light on.

When you had the check engine light come on, have you been fiddling around with the switch while bike is turned on and idle? I think you might get issues if you start riding, then just flip the switch etc, but of flipping the switch while power is off and not playing around with it, it should be good (I hope). Time will tell :D

@@everythingtenere I definitely just flip the switch at 100kph when I drop off the asphalt and onto the dirt. Thats what I love about it. The OBD2 tool tells me speed sensor A error. I just cleared the code each time so far.

@@Nerb1 i Will for sure do the same lol, but I need to order a Bluetooth enabled ODB reader.

@@Nerb1 I switched off my ABS while going at 60 + kph, no problem. So great not having to stop and fiddle around with the speedo button :)

How's things been working out? Has the engine light illuminated again?

Did a similar thing with my 2014 Super Tenere except on the ABS motor & it did not generate fault codes. I like your home made Steg Pegz..where did you source the conical shaped rubber & how are you liking it?

Hi Mike 😊. I got them from a Swedish store that sells a lot of car parts and tools “3’d party parts” Biltema. It’s some kind of vibration damper, maybe suspension bottoming out damper. Sure as hell looks like a butt plug lol. I’m actually looking to make a new set with a angled piece of alu, so the pegs come slightly higher up, like the real steg pegz are for the T7.

What's the red flashing light on your LCD screen at the bottom right? We don't have that on North American bikes.

Hello, I just saw an interesting video for anyone who wants to use another way to turn off the rear wheel ABS. LSk motorcycle electronics also has a video for the Africa Twin.

Question What amp rating should the switch be? Hope you can help 🙏🏼
@everythingtenere Жыл бұрын
Now I don’t remember the fuse, if it is 20 or 30 amp. But a 20 amp rated one should be fine

Hello, I am installing my switch on the solenoid fuse ! Can you confirm that everything works as it should without error code since you use it ? Thanks a lot. I discovered your channel and it is a mine of good advice !

Great video, is this on both weels? How do i just turn off the rear? Cut that cable and connect as you did? Mvh Micke 🫡

ABS fully OFF, so yea both wheels. If you want to be able to switch off only rear, then you would need a dual system, that can switch off the abs pump feed to the rear. In the case you never want abs on the rear, then plug the feed from the abs pump, and change the rear break pump. Only way to solve it I’m afraid.
