Wonderful wonderful tutorial, you really did an outstanding job! :-) I gathered up some supplies and made it right along with you. And I DO NOT crochet. Don't knit hardly at all, because I usually spend my time spinning the yarn, but not actually making something with it. ;-) Your close-ups were so helpful, I could see exactly where you were headed with your crochet hook. Mind you, I did a LOT of rewinding, but that's because I'm slow and it takes me a few viewings to "get it." No, you aren’t doing anything wrong! That’s normal with crochet. If you want to “block it” or steam it, it should lay flat. 😀

Yes. Other yarn works too, but cotton is typically a good yarn that doesn't stretch out too much over time.

Yes! You can use any that you find at the craft store. I've seen some good ones at Michaels and Hobby Lobby.

I've made 4 of these, all of them curled. I wet blocked and pinned for 2 days then hung with weights on the bottom and after all that they still curled. What have I done wrong?

I would try steam blocking it. I usually have the most success with steam blocking.

When folded in half and not including the keychain clasp, it is 5.5 inches in length.

The edge of a row? Or the edge when you start/finish the wristlet? If you have a gap at the edge of a row, are you talking about a gap between the chain and the first stitch?
