Can someone tell me, what to do with a project that i have completed halfway with the traditional way and the colours are peeking out!!!
@kaelynarmstrong1466Күн бұрын
Honestly if it was me personally I would just frog and redo. I do this every time I find a better technique for something I’m doing, and as tedious and painstaking as it is, I end up liking the end result better

OHMYGOSH THANK YOUUUU!! There’s a sweater that I really want to make but I’ve twisted that neckline chain so many times that the whole thing had to go into the Project Time-Out Box for awhile. My sweater can be set free! ;)

Ahh totally makes this pattern seem more manageable I didn’t wanna sign up for a whole blanket only after to decide the pattern isn’t easy to memorize. 12 row repeat seemed daunting but it’s way easier!
@CozyNooksDesigns18 күн бұрын
Yes! So happy to hear that. It's more like a 6 row repeat that gets staggered for the next 6.
I have 226 stitches to make a afghan, I'm wanting to put a graph in the center of it. How do I do the math
@CozyNooksDesigns18 күн бұрын
Start with a gauge swatch to see how many stitches fit in a 4" square. For example: if there are 17 stitches and 16 rows, your finished piece will be about 63 inches wide. Depending on how big your graph is, you can center it on that. ❤

For the swatch, if I have 4 colors for my final design. Will it change the size of the swatch if I make it with only one of the colors that I will use? Or should randomly include all of my colors in in the swatch?
@CozyNooksDesigns2 ай бұрын
Yes, if you plan to carry the yarn across anywhere, you should do the gauge swatch how you plan on doing the pattern. So if you plan on carrying one yarn on either side of a design, do the gauge swatch like that also. ❤️
@r4ch37d42 ай бұрын
@@CozyNooksDesigns I’m planning to do the intarsia technique on my color work project. Also, if I understand correctly, you’re suggesting me to recreate my design but in the format of a gauge swatch? Including all the colors. If so, how would you suggest that I do that?
@CozyNooksDesigns2 ай бұрын
@@r4ch37d4 if you are doing the intarsia crochet techniques (dropping the color when you switch and not picking it back up until the next row), then no, you don’t need to recreate the design for the gauge swatch. If you are planning on carrying a color and crocheting over it, that creates additional height per row, and I would include that in a gauge swatch. 💜
