Fun fact : after going 3 semitones higher than the original, after the performance when he reunited with his dad (who had come in secret to support him and revealed himself after the performance), he asked him 3 times "did I sing well ?" 😳🥺😁😁😁💗💗💗 : kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIG7haaKp5l1rac (with english subtitles for everything, including the song lyrics, since you were curious :) I pasted the link timed at the end of the performance, when he meets his dad, but you can rewind to watch it all if you want). And later in an interview Dimash said that if he had known that his dad was in the audience, he wouldn`t have been so cheeky with the performance 😁 Such a sweet boy :)) But we loved that side of him 😁🤭 Also, for "The Diva Dance, he is so sweaty because he had just got down from being suspended on cables singing "Earth Song", after dancing and singing "Billie Jean", in a MJ tribute incorporated in his Bastau concert 😁In this concert he performed the highest number of songs, over 25 out of a total of ~30 in a concert, and at some point in the concert he performed a pop song on a treadmill incorporated in the stage. Huge concert. Coming back from representing his country honorably in The Singer show. The government put his faith in him and contributed to his first solo concert. Dimash worked and rehearsed so intensely for this concert, that he lost a lot of weight, and looked a bit sick, and got his family and fans worried for his health. This is the backstage footage of this concert, where at the end his father cries with relief and pride that his son delivered so beautifully, after so many people put their trust in him : kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3Wvd6d9j9RoetU (timed the link at the part with his father, but you can rewind if you want). To answer your question about russian : After his "Okay" MV, which is a song and MV produced before 24.02, but came out in may, I saw a few youtube viewers commenting that they won`t support anything written by Igor anymore, and others saying that Dimash is supporting Russia`s attitude with the story in the MV. The truth is, Igor was born in Ukraine, back when it was part of USSR, and has both ukrainian and russian citizenship. He didn`t manifest any public support for what is going on. Second, the story in the MV is describing the era of Stalin`s repressions, 1937 specifically, and Dimash "dies" at the hands of an NKVD officer. So, no support for cruel regime practices there. All in all, some (very few) people got a bit confused, and protested a bit. And one reactor freaked out for a second when he heard russian and quickly put a disclaimer that he doesn`t support Russia and the war (it just happened that the first Dimash reaction he did was for "Okay"). The rest know that Dimash`s art (or singing in a language he is fluent in and is frequently used in his own country as well - russian) has nothing to do with supporting any war. Ever. When he composed "War and Peace" back in 2017, he did it in hope that no people, and no children specifically, would ever suffer from the cruelty of war ever again. And in his 2022 concerts after 24.02, he prefaced the performance of "War and Peace" with a speech in which he condemned the current war. He was livid, but managed to choose his words wisely : kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYKnZJVqoNR6frs (Dubai - first speech, and longest one ; and the stage screens during the song, instead of displaying images and graphics as they used to, were left black, as in mourning) There still are some people who would like to hear some louder bombastic speech 3 times a day from artists, including Dimash, forgetting about geography and complications of living in eastern europe, and forgetting that artists are not going to be the ones who will end this war with a good speech or a song. The rest of us, we`ve seen interviews with him for years, and we`ve seen his facebook posts and his concert anti-war speeches, and we know his heart. We don`t have other expectations from him, we`re just appreciating his determination for artistic excellence, as it`s his tool for putting some good into this world.

@@fashionblank you`re welcome :) Dimash addressed fame specifically, in an interview, saying that he "tries to keep himself grounded, because he knows that star mentality is an illness that, once it gets into your mind, there is no cure" (paraphrasing) And he has the wisdom of his teachers, parents and grandparents to rely on, plus poets etc that he read since a young age and references sometimes. :) (this is fragment of an interview with Dimash from when he was 12 : kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJPVY5mCgNSjpqc :) )

Alone. In China for months with only an interpreter and a coach, his calls home became increasingly more concerning. Sad, lonely. A family decision was made, his Father called the producers and said he was flying in to surprise him and sitting in the audience. The camera pans to him but Dimash didn't see him until his Dad's big arm pump ( on camera) at the end ! He bounded off the stage and lifted him up in a bear hug. Seen in the extended video of this. They walked down a hall, he buried his face in his father's neck, a muffled I want to go home is heard. His Dad never left. To this day, on extended trips and tours, at least one family member goes. You would never know he was feeling low in this performance, he is that fine a trained professional. Said he'd never have been that cheeky if he knew his Dad was in the audience !

No idea if he received back lash or not but he did speak out against the war in two different concerts. Understandable as he has fans in both countries and honestly loves all of his fans. Yes, he is one beautiful man. Be sure to check out his new video which he just dropped today on his You Tube channel. Hi, this song "Opera 2" is my favorite from Dimash. Other songs may be even more difficult to sign. But I love this melody. Dimash also plays very skillfully with the audience. Higher, even higher, you want even more? So even higher. This face - a real rogue. And how many people will be able to sing this song? There won't be very many. Diva dance is considered unsingable. At least Dimash can sing it. Greetings from Germany

I do know he speaks agains war he even writen the song "War and peace". He hates al wars. Also it cant be easy for him I mean he is big in both countrys to and have many Dears there. I dont think someone would backtalk about him singing in Russian becouse why? Its his language to! The Diva dans was sung somwhere between middel and end of about a 2.5 houers long show and the song before was a MJ medley there he for some parts hanged in 2 vires high above the floor and belted werry high notes!!!! So HOW can he sing this so good!!!

Kazakhstan refused to support Russia in their war with Ukraine even though they are largely supported by Russia. This (performance) was made years ago and most people in his country, like Ukraine already speak Russian. Kazakhstan is unusual, in that it is largely a Muslim country but there is no bad blood with Christians there. Dimash is Muslim but he belongs to a sect that believes in the original meaning of the Koran and believes in love and peace with all peoples.

No backlash for Dimash in any shape or form. On the contrary, he spoke against it (which I was concerned for him since we all know how that could affect him) and interpreted his song "War & Peace". I also believe he had a presentation in Russia at the time and cancelled it! 💞
@mille5913
@mille5913 Жыл бұрын
How could that affect him? The only consequence he could get is canceling from Ukrainians in case he hadn't expressed any opinion, which is completely his right. No artists or athletes have to speak on politics. But some people force celebs to do so, so even if he weren't anti-war, it would be safer for him to say so. Besides when your country is not involved, why not to be anti-war? The hardship is only on Russians as it's their country which is bullied. Ukrainians are the victims and can't have another POV and they are playing this card perfectly, shutting up Europeans' mouths who 'dare' to complain about bills and price rocketing

No all former USSR countries speak Russian and Dimash declared he is for peace, in fact beforr it started he released a song called War and Peace but the message apparently wasn't heard by Putin. In other words he is strongly against war.

😂😂😂 sorry, the comment about Putin was hilarious. Do you think he has time to listening to new music? I've learnt about dimash about a month ago 😂 Besides, I don't wanna upset you but the reasons behind this war are deeper than anyone can get from a quick view. Of course, any war is bad, but Russia had been tolerating Ukraine's anti-Russia politics for 8 years hoping it would become neutral but they used this time for arming and training (both Merkel in her recent interview and ex president of Ukraine confirmed that) though literally nothing before 2014 could point to any aggressive intentions of Russia. Btw interesting, did Dimash or Igor Krutoy condemn Ukraine for the civil war in Donbas?

Is it true that Vitas complained about Dimash Kudaibergen singing his song "Opera 2" on I'm Singer stage? It’s my understanding that the problem with Dimash singing the song was not that he sang it (although some claim that Vitas was jealous because Dimash sang it better), but that the Singer show did not get the proper copyright permissions for the use of the song on the show before it aired. I believe they did actually get the permissions after the fact, but the damage was already done as far as Vitas was concerned. Vitas said that he would never again give permission for Dimash to sing the song in any venue for any reason, essentially banning Dimash from ever singing it again.

Stupid of Vitas and showing he is shallow and ooops jealous. Because as you say if the problem was only in that show not getting permission in advance it shouldn't have affected Vitas's decision to never allow Dimash to sing this song again. So, it's just envy

Can that woman sing the lower parts too? It soundes like she even imitated the computerization too. Pretty good if she can hit the low notes which most women can't then maybe she did it better than Dimash. Would love the link to compare the entirety of her song.

@@fashionblank she did a good job, as I figured she couldn't hit the low notes and she chopped off the end, so I give the match to Dimash, but I recognize she did a good job overall. Thanks for sharing.

such stupidity to think that Dimash will be condemned for songs in Russian. Firstly, he sang it 5 years ago. and now what does Russian music have to do with the war?? Now all songs in Russian should be banned? Russian books too? Tchaikovsky, Dostoevsky to ban? in Nazi Germany at the end of the 30s they did this, Jewish books were burned. think what you say!

I got a few responses that claim Igor was attacked or condemned a bit by some people, and that a few reactors upon hearing Dimash were shocked and had to disclaim their support of Ukraine. I don't know why you're surprised by the question when this is a crazy world we live in :)

I DON'T CARE IF HE SINGS IN OUTER SPACE LANGUAGE!!! WHATEVER. BECAUSE HE SINGS IN RUSSIAN DOESN'T MEAN HE CONDONS THEIR BARBARIC ACTIONS. HIS PIANIST IGOR KRUTOY IS RUSSIAN. VERY FAMOUS & WRITES MANY OF DIMASH'S SONGS. EVERY LANGUAGE IS BEAUTIFUL.

As others have said, Dimash is anti-war and outspoken about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. His composer/collaborator, Igor Krutoy is from Ukraine but living in Russia. They cancelled their Russian performance scheduled earlier this year. Kazakhstan just broke free from Russian in 1991, three years before Dimash was born. The new President of Kazakhstan has also spoken out against the invasion.

I've see Vitas sing this song and his showmanship is to stand like a stick and scream. Not impressed with him. Dimash has a vocal flow to his singing this song. Vitas is jealous of Dimash's gift.

It doesn't matter what language he sings in. Culture has no boundaries. Just like Putin's sadistic methods have nothing to do with culture, including Russian culture. Dimash is a convinced pacifist. He always said this, before and after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He has his author's song on this theme "War and Peace". He spoke very emotionally about it at his solo concerts this year. He and Igor Krutoy had events planned for March this year in Moscow, but they canceled their participation in these events immediately after the news of the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine. And although I believe that due to the politics of the Kremlin, Dimash will now rarely perform in Russia, but his creative and cultural ties with Russia have not been broken at all. Culture especially shows its creative potential under pressure.

Why nobody was interested in Britain invading Ireland: I have always wondered; I have lived in my youth with info about all this Olster events .. Nobody but the Irish cared. As though it was their , Britishes ,inner business. Because of the countries historical connections.But now our former Slavic republic with 2/3 of Russian speaking population and one historical past ( Kiev used to be called the Mother of Kiev Rus’ ) and Duke Vladimir was the ruler. The name of Ukraine means Outskirts in Russian. Why are you not bothered by Neonazism in Ukraine and intolerence to Russian population there? There is no information? If you are far from politics don’ t mention this condemnation of Russia. Ukraine is just a toy in the hands of the USA and Britain. I love the culture of both countries but not the politics. So Americans can use the world as puppets and you will condemn, prohibit our language ,Chaikovsky, Leo Tolstoy. By the way speaking of Tolstoy- you should have banned him in 2014 - he fought for the Crimea as an officer of Russian army. Read his Sebastopol stories... Sorry for me being furious: the word “condemn” made me see red...I really like your reactions- haha:)
