You two are so brave. Tom, it’s great that you can fix just about everything. Praying that y’all made it to England safely and better weather. Could you maybe talk to us about what you do if you break down in a different State? I know that happened to you on your last road trip, does your Ins cover hotel cost? What happens if something happens that takes several days to get parts etc? Just curious as to how your prepared for such incidents. Your all in my prayers and thoughts, can’t wait for Fri to get here to see where your at in England and what your doing for fun. Be safe.

Just keep on fighting, things go wrong but its really are great mind set to get on top of it. Even factory built vans/motorhomes had similar problems and if anybody should get through this its you that will do it. Have a nice journey.

I've been watching the videos by Martijn Doolaard and he said in one something along the lines of - bad things happen, you just find a way to get through them and keep going. (He was referring to a big wind storm that tore down the tent he was living in and an open kitchen area, but his neighbours had damage too.) I am praying, as you asked, that there will not be any other complications and that you will be glad that you kept moving. Winter is a particularly difficult time to travel but these days, with climate change, no place can guarantee all easy movements. And much as any of us might like it to listen, the weather is the weather in all parts of the big blue marble we all live on and will do its own thing.

Yep, a water leak in winter will really set you back. Hopefully you can make it to a laundromat and a repair shop. The moisture inside will be the worst part.

The reason we’re traveling now and not waiting is the weather. The day we left we got over 30 cm of snow where we lived, and we would never be able to start traveling in that. That’d mean we wouldn’t leave until the spring, when we have to be back in Sweden for new doctor appointments. So we’re taking it nice and steady and getting out while we can, before the bad weather hit us!
