It wasn’t Canadians helping the American underworld, it was also italian crooks here looking to line their pockets by helping smuggle booz to the states
@acanadianeh83445 жыл бұрын
Dylan L Ontario has had its own fair share of shady underworld characters too, such as Rocco Perri (Canada’s Al Capone, or King of the bootleggers), or Johnny Pops Papalia, once an enforcer for a family from NYC expanding their reach here in Canada, Mr. Pops ended up running his own rackets and what not in and around Toronto after earningg a few stripes and some protection from bigger families.. he was eventually whacked tho in a gangland hit in one of Canada’s more.. shady towns. All in all, even with street gangs on a rise as the demand for drugs grow in Ontario, it’s for certain that most if not all of it is still run by a very secretive underworld. Bikers had a scene in ontario, but they bowed to the mob and were quickly dismembered by the police anyway, most likely still italian crooks with nicer suits running things still
@acanadianeh83445 жыл бұрын
I don’t support these shmucks one bit. Ontario has a really low crime rate thanks to more organized gangs running things who have the power to keep the peace and the money flowing, but a lot of innocent lives have been lost. They love to blow up cafes and restaurants, or murder any thoughts of competition, the police are paid off and with the heavy history of corruption in ontario, the mafia have thrived here since the early 1900s without question. These are bad men who have plagued communities across southern Ontario in the name of earning a few extra bucks to blow on nice cars and fancy dinners.

@yugitrump4355 жыл бұрын
DARTHMOBIUS, dude. There are taxes for every town, city, county, state aside from on the national level. Anywhere you live in the United States you are obligated to pay taxes. Theres taxes on almost everything. You can go a long time without paying your taxes sure but they will eventually come after you regardless of what you say or do. You refuse to pay and they send you to prison. You can work out agreements with the government to make payments on your taxes but you can't just outright avoid paying your taxes lol. My uncle told me a story that there was a day in Chicago where all crime stopped under orders from Al Capone (due to mourning a family death or something of the sort). For the next 24 hours Al capo forbid crime of any kind from occuring. Supposedly there was a day where Chicago saw not a single robbery, killing, theft, or any petty crime occured out of respect or due to fear of retaliation from the Capone organization... Not sure if it's true or not, but it's an interesting tale of the kind of influence Ale Capone had on the city of Chicago. Supposedly Chicago's crime rate went way down with Al Capone in control.
